After a major life transition, this single mom set out to create a fresh start for herself and her teenage daughter — and she did it by going tiny. Rather than jumping back into the rental market, she chose a more intentional lifestyle and downsized from over 3,000 square feet into a beautifully crafted tiny house on wheels.

With help from Mint Tiny House Company and a unique caretaker exemption, she was able to legally park her home on her parents’ property in Canada. Today, she not only supports her aging parents but also provides her daughter with a fun, stylish space that her friends love visiting. Their expanding THOW proves just how comfortable, functional, and family-friendly tiny living can be.

Now this a pretty cool van! Originally a 2003 VW Eurovan Weekender, this van got a full overhaul from GoWesty back in 2011. Since then, its second owners drove it all over the West Coast.

The van has a pop-up top that sleeps two, and you can sleep two more on the “first floor.” What’s really great is this van seats 7, with the back 5 chairs facing each other and a table. Could make for a fun way to travel with friends (or kids?).

It’s for sale right now on Vanlife Trader for $31,000.

Container homes are an awesome way to reduce-reuse-recycle, and with the cost of lumber these days it’s likely somewhat more economical than the alternative.

These are plans for a container home (estimated $20,000 in materials to build — expect to pay more today as material costs have gone up quite a lot since this was estimated) that includes a downstairs bedroom and epic rooftop deck with a full staircase!

The example home below has dark, modern finishes, but you could — of course — make it look like whatever you want. You can buy the plans here.

Christopher is the kind of person who just overflows with compassion and positivity, which you’re sure to see from watching his tour of his 1971 Airstream conversion below.

When he had to move when his home was being sold, he jumped right into his Airstream conversion so he had a place to live. The result is a truly magnificent space that helps him fulfill his goal of doing at least one compassionate act for another person a day. If only we all lived like this! Enjoy the interview in the video tour below!

Rachel doesn’t quite remember what inspired her to pursue #vanlife, but at some point in college she started saying she wanted to live in a van, and then she was committed to seeing the idea through.

She says van living has provided the “spice” she needed in her life. For the past year she’s been all over the U.S. exploring. While eventually she’d like to put down roots and have her own pottery studio, she manages to sell some of her work as she travels!

Enjoy the Tiny Home Tours video below, and follow her on Instagram.

Just wait to meet one of the sweetest tiny house couples Tiny Home Tours has interviewed. Janae and Blaine designed and built their amazing THOW and have been living it since they got married back in 2019. It’s entirely off-grid, as well, and they have three adorable kittens.

But they don’t just live tiny — they design and build tiny homes as well with their business, “Cornerstone Tiny Homes” in Oklahoma. Once you see their THOW, you’ll want one designed by them for sure. This one has a elevator bed, tons of storage, a stacked washer and dryer, and more counter space than many apartments.

Enjoy the tour below!
