We’ve featured plenty of dome homes here, but I have yet to see one quite like this! With a bottom facade of natural stone and a top built with stunning wooden hexagons, this unique dome house is a vacation spot on my bucket list.
It also has all the creature comforts you could ask for, including a large full bathroom, a comfortable bed, and a compact kitchenette. But just wait until you see the view! With a stone patio and outdoor furniture, you can take full advantage of the stunning scenery.

Now this is a fun renovation! According to the builder, they stripped this 1987 Winnebago down to the truck frame and rebuilt the entire camper. While he was able to salvage some of the original appliances, everything else is new.
And that comes with benefits! Firstly, no mold. Secondly, he used low-or-no VOC materials to make this a low-toxin environment for the new owners.
There’s an over-cab bed, and a dinette that can sleep one or two. Check it out below! It’s for sale here.

Here is a handmade pontoon that has potential to become an off-grid houseboat. While at this point it’s just a living room box without a kitchen or bathroom, I’m sure a handy person could fix that!
I’m a huge fan of that roof deck. Would you like to live on the water? It’s for sale for $20k on Facebook Marketplace here.

She had a budget, though, and she stuck to it. Including the purchase of the van itself, she spent just $25K to create her tiny home on wheels. It’s decked out with everything needed to keep her cat safe and happy, as well, including a litter box and room for a cat stroller.

While off-grid vacations are fun, it’s nice to stay in a treehouse with all the amenities, including a tiled indoor shower and — yes — a flush toilet!
This craftsman-built treehouse has funky a-symmetrical wall and a wonky window to add a bit of character. But there’s a leather couch, comfortable queen bed in the loft, and even a pulley for lifting your luggage. The live-edge counter tops and woodland accents make this stay both cozy and luxurious. A-frames — like yurts — hold a special place in my heart. The unconventional structures aren’t necessarily the most efficient use of space, but they look awesome and give a great feel. This particular A-frame is 200 square feet and sits on a 30-acre woodland plot in New York.
It’s entirely off-grid, but a Cubic Mini woodstove and solar lights let you enjoy comforts, and it’s definitely a step-up from tenting with the king-sized bed. There’s a fire pit outside, as well as a nearby outhouse. What a perfect place to unplug and truly rest!
