Barbara wanted a tiny house for full-time living, and the name “Orana” comes from the Tahitian word for “hello.” And her Baluchon-built tiny home on wheels is most definitely welcoming!

Huge sliding doors lead into the living room, with a couch and desk area for working-from-home. The kitchen is compact (no refrigerator, per the owner’s request), and the bathroom has a large standing shower and corner composting toilet. Enjoy the tour below!

This tiny tree house in Washington State was built by the owner, Shaun, and his friends from fallen lumber reclaimed from the 150 acre property where it sits. It overlooks a bubbling creek and is surrounded by towering trees.

Inside there’s a loft bedroom, humble kitchenette and snugly electric fireplace. A heated bathhouse is shared with two other cottages on the property, and there’s a seasonal outdoor shower as well. What do you think?

No one would argue that vanlife isn’t minimalism, but Amanda takes simple living to a whole new level! About 8 years ago she decided that instead of working more to pay rent, she was going to hand in her keys and camp. Someone gifted her a van, and she never looked back.

Her van is incredibly simple — a tiny butane stove, no heat, and a small string of solar-powered lights — and those are the upgrades! But she’s perfectly content with her home and loves that she isn’t stressed about money. She does free things; she forages; and she doesn’t pay rent!

Pamela had just finished renovating her spacious California home with four bedrooms and two baths when she got the idea that tiny living would allow for a more affordable lifestyle that would free up cash so she could travel more and “buy nicer things.” Her friends and family were definitely suspicious, but after a “trial run” of living in 900 square feet, Pamela felt like she was ready to downsize even more.

In her interview with Tiny Home Tours, Pamela shares the ups and downs in terms of parting with your stuff and learning to live with much less. Her park model, located at Village Farm Tiny Homes in Austin, has been impeccably decorated and has all the comforts of a bigger home on a smaller scale. Go check it out below!

Tonya & Dustin love fitness and nutrition — they love it so much, they lead an online fitness community and are taking their short skoolie on tour around the country sharing about their health and wellness journey.

Since cooking is a huge part of nutrition, the couple made sure to have lots of prep/counter space in their skoolie build, and they didn’t skimp on a oven! They also fit in an indoor shower and composting toilet and splurged on a super-comfy Tempurpedic mattress so they get the best rest possible to fuel their bodies. Enjoy the video tour below!
