Amber and Jaylyn first decided on RV life when it was just the two of them — he’s a Marine and they wanted to spend money on something that was theirs, rather than paying for base housing with every move. It also fits their minimalist mindset.
While they did buy a larger toy hauler when their daughter was born, they’re still happily living tiny. Just wait until you see the cool elevator bed they put in the toy-hauler part, as well as Journey’s adorable nursery.

Elisabeth wanted to stop renting and had always dreamed of building a little wooden house. She wasn’t even aware that “tiny homes” were a movement until she started hunting for supplies. Much of her home came from reclaimed materials—items she found at salvage yards or flea markets and repurposed. The entire build cost only 5,000 Euros. She lived in the home in the mountains before finding a farmhouse on land in Spain with orchards, nut trees, and an olive grove. Now her Little Wooden House is a vacation rental surrounded by nature.

Now, this is different! The owners blended an A-frame with a Saltbox style cabin and dubbed it a “G-Frame.” I really like how it opens up the interior and offers more loft headroom, while at the same time keeping that cozy A-frame feel inside.
The whole cabin is run on solar power, and heated with the indoor wood stove, and wood stove in the nearby sauna. There is a foot pump sink for washing dishes, an indoor composting toilet, and during warmer weather, an outdoor shower. What do you think?

Jonluc and Jackie took on the awesome project of renovating this 1993 camper that was filled with water damage. It was a challenge to take something meant for transient weekend travel and transform it into a sturdy full-time home. But they did a great job!
Like most Class C travel trailers, their bed is over the cab area. They took out the dated dinette and created slipcovers for the outdated fabrics. They do have a shower but use it for storage. Check out the build below!

This little stone cottage in Vermont is off-grid vacationing at its finest. You’ll have hot and cold running water, but no WiFi and not much cell service. The one-room cottage sits on a New England farm and you’ll feel like you’re in the middle of a Robert Frost poem.
There’s a bathroom with a shower and Separette toilet, a kitchen with a sink, cooler, and two-burner cooktop, and you can eat at the old wooden table or sit on the comfy couch.

This 1800s vardo was once used in movies — perhaps even on the set of “The Wizard of Oz” — and is now a cozy Airbnb decked out with vintage boho decor.
The inside has a comfortable bed and sitting area, and there’s an adjacent bathhouse complete with a gorgeously-tiled shower. A stone patio has a fun umbrella and sitting chairs, as well as a hot tub for your enjoyment. Thanks, James D., for sending us this story!

Ashley and Alexis are sisters who were sharing an apartment in Tampa, Florida when their landlords were raising rent — again. That’s when they decided to go tiny! Instead of sharing a tiny home, they each bought their own and customized it to their own unique style and needs — but they live right next door to each other at the Circle Pond Tiny Community. We interviewed Alexis a couple years ago. She lives in her cozy farmhouse THOW with her young daughter. Her sister Ashley lives in her own modern THOW with two dogs and enjoys cooking in her large kitchen. The video below tours each of their unique homes!

Chris and Lindsay are one remarkable couple! They both traveled independently extensively before meeting and marrying each other (in just 9 months!). Three years into marriage they started fostering 8 children, which they loved. But when the children were placed in new homes they decided to fulfill a long-time dream of traveling from Alaska to Argentina.
While COVID restrictions have made them rethink their original itinerary, they’ve spent nearly 4 years on the road traveling full-time! They started with a truck camper and now have a beautiful 1999 Class C that they took from drab and dated to dazzling.
