She Bought This $20K Tiny House

Karen is one determined woman! Her tiny living dream started after her youngest child moved out. At first, she sold her home and traveled in an RV, but she really wanted more of a house. She put a down payment on a home from a tiny house builder, only to find out some months later that the business went under, and her money was gone.

You’d think that would be the end of her tiny living, but after she paid back the loan she had taken out for her first tiny home, she bought an Incred-i-Box from Incredible Tiny Homes for $20,000. She spent some time finishing the interior and now lives in a trailer park in Arizona, loving that her dreams finally came true!

She lives nearby and we decided if she can do it, we can make a 20′ work for us. As a survival structure, they have the most potential going for the price in North America. About a week left on Randy’s RJO $15K sale so you better hurry as not only is it STEEL it is also probably the last chance to steal a livable space with a kitchen and a bathroom that is MOBILE that will ever happen. She has taken the shed slope design and created lemonade from just half a lemon. Proof of positive thinking and creativity.
Speaking of survival, a 20′ is on my design desk I call the Super 8. Sleeps 8, full kitchen, two baths, W/D. We should ALL adapt like this lady. Make what we have work and stay mobile…. Harder to hit ….Because the Billionaire Species has decided they don’t like us walking on their Earth.

There are always trade offs, size is one of them to deal with the costs and some people prefer the smaller size.

However, ITH offers options to expand as each unit can be combined with an Add-A-Box, which is essentially a shell version of the unit that can be connected to the Incred-I-Box in a modular way to scale to a larger structure and it’s intended to be something the owner can DIY to change and customize as they want, as long as they can DIY those final details and thus avoid most of the normal commercially built costs.

It really is on the smaller scale. It could be a great start though and over time you can possibly add a deck plus add some other structures to the mix like a shed, bathhouse, office cabin, etc. I don’t know, just thinking out loud here!
