No privy or outhouse?
Pump house is the bathroom… That’s a Porta Potti in front of the washing machine…
It’s also mentioned that there is a home biogas system so not sure if the toilet is hooked up to that.
If you’re curious, more info is on that in the links below (I’ve been looking into it)
Here is the home biogas toilet kit:

And here is a really good review of it and how it works (including the major drawbacks for it):

Quick question or two. Why is the pump house so far from the other house? Could you move it and connect it to the pump house? Can you put an actual septic system on this property so you can have an actual bath? I am assuming that the gray water is emptying on the ground somewhere right now. It also looks like an area prone to flooding when it rains, so that might rule out a septic system. Just wondering. . .
Listing lists it has a Septic Tank, Well, BB/HS Internet Capable, Electricity Available, and Water Available…
However, you’re probably still right in assuming the area is prone to flooding and that would impose limits on where you put structures on the property and how far they have to be from the septic system. While it seems the previous owner wanted it mostly undeveloped and natural… So additional development could allow for more options…
Thank you James. I didn’t think to look at the listing. It sounds like it’s all ready for a build.
Realize that there will be upwards of 140 million North Americans displaced by rising Sea Water by the turn of THIS century. Low-Cost hosing is on my mind for you sheeple. I will be long dead, but my Grandkids might be here…3-D Printing with HEMP Hurds as feed stock is obvious using Geopolymer as a Binder seems the best choice today from my research. Combined with a Mobile (THOW) system of housing for itinerate workers who can be near the desired saltwater frontage as it climbs the shorelines. I envision a system of portable Boardwalk type structures that can shift with the tides mobile units(Park Model RV Types) just plug into and move as needed…High Rises are limited to areas above 350′ elevations worldwide..
Price is more than a little high for the area. Unless that creek has clear access deep enough all the way without trees falling across it to the ocean, not worth much and more a flood risk than anything else.
Yes, the property sold for only $84,000 back in 2020 but have to keep in mind the present real estate market, $430K is now the Median Listing Home Price for the area and a nearby listing for a 6 acre lot is $399,000 and this is a 5 acre lot for $250,000, for indication of what properties there are going for now…
Looks like there is a serious flooding problem with the structures being built up so high.
Not my business, but it makes me a little sad to see a home staged while only sheetrocked, like someone did a lot of work, including installing a ramp, and couldn’t finish for some reason. I’m grateful we can get so much more for the money where I live – and the snow is free, lol.
I’d be more concerned about gators than flooding. Seriously.
A very rural section not far from the Orlando Metro area. Sometimes those areas in Florida have a lot of home-based businesses (pharmaceutical industry.
is there a full kitchen for the very high price??
It’s not really that type of property in its present state, you’d be mainly paying for the land itself as it’s set up more for private outdoor nature retreat than long term residence. The listing states the area has wild boar, white tail deer, bobcat, Osceola turkey, and an abundance of various species of birds. Included will be recreational equipment, such as air rifles, fishing poles, kayak and a canoe. Along with a John Deer tractor/mower.
While the cabin is a dry cabin, which means no running water, but it has full size bed, 2 TV’s, XBox One, Wolf Oven, dining set w/umbrella.
$250,000 for a tiny, unfinished cabin & 5 acres of land??? LOL
Like I pointed out to Jerry, yes, the property sold for only $84,000 back in 2020 but have to keep in mind the present real estate market, $430K is now the Median Listing Home Price for the area and a nearby listing for a 6 acre lot is $399,000 and this is a 5 acre lot for $250,000, for indication of what properties there are going for now. Until such time as the market changes again…
Besides, it’s not just the one cabin. There’s more on the property and location always plays a factor in real estate with what’s nearby, what the property can be used for, what else may or may not be included, state of the local economy, etc. So there’s multiple things that will effect the price and that all changes over time…
