Caleb is a web developer and he and his wife, Hannah, and their three-year-old are traveling around in their amazing Chevy Short Bus conversion. The sleek interior looks ultra-modern, and now Caleb is helping others build out their own buses. How cool.
Because of his job, he has tons of solar power and battery banks to make sure they rarely run out of juice. The bus also includes a bathroom with two shower heads, so they never *have* to go outside or at a campground.

The 400-square-foot home is completely off-grid, with solar power, a water tank, and a wood-burning stove to keep the home warm!

Big thanks to Dwayne for sharing these awesome 480 square foot homes that were built in the community of Orange Mound in Memphis, Tennessee. According to Wikipedia, this community was the first in the United States to be built by and for African Americans.
The homes have the same layout, but different elevations, and both sold for $55,000 (so affordable!). These one-bedroom, one-bathroom homes are new construction and show that small/tiny houses can be built on foundations!

Spenser and Libby Behrens went straight from trade school into RV life and have been living on the road for 10 years. They follow Spenser’s work as a journeyman lineman across the country, often moving with little notice. As their family grew, they upgraded to a larger fifth wheel and renovated every inch of it — transforming a standard RV into something that looks like a tiny cottage. This tiny home on a farm is the perfect pastoral getaway in historic Scottsville Virginia. The 25-acre farm has all kinds of animals, from goats to peacocks to livestock guardian dogs. They roam around while you stay in a beautiful one-floor tiny house.

This is the stunning “Origin” — a tiny treehouse built as a “dress” surrounding a 100-year-old oak tree in France. The treehouse hotel room wraps around the oak and comes complete with a bedroom and a luxurious bathroom. There’s even a rope bridge to an adjacent spa area with a soaking tub.
The architect said he was inspired by a bird’s nest, using small pieces of lumber to create that signature nest-like shape, just like a mama bird! It’s fresh and modern, and provides plenty of space around the tree for it to continue to grow for another 100 years!

Five years ago, Chelsea and Diego hardly saw each other because of Diego’s work schedule. That’s when they decided to go tiny and purchased a new RV so Chelsea and the kids could follow Diego wherever he’s working as a pipeline welder.
The couple just welcomed their fourth child a couple months ago, and they all love RV life even if it requires some sacrifice of personal space. Two years into living in the RV they decided to start making renovations, and now every part of their home is as functional as it is beautiful!

Here’s another example of an awesome couple who found themselves trapped in the 9 to 5 grind and wanted something more — and so they jumped on the skoolie bandwagon, cultivated remote work opportunities, and have been bus living since September 2019.
Shelby says bus life has significantly improved her mental health, which is so important in general, and especially during the challenging times that have been the last year.
