This is the story of a 1989 Ford Champion Transvan that was purchased and renovated by @justinjmorris and @aubernutter. More recently, they built out this Transit van with double murphy beds.

But what do you think of Class B motorhomes like this one? They seem like a pretty good place to start for tiny living, don’t they? And they allow you to get around and explore with your own cozy micro-home that goes with you.

This is The Moving House. It’s a custom converted tiny motorhome using a 2011 Mercedes Benz Sprinter 313. You can actually see how they built most of it right here on their blog.

When you go inside, you’ll notice it has a cozy space that feels a lot more like home when you compare it to most motorhomes. According to This Moving House, they can build a van for you. It takes them about 13 weeks to complete.

So here’s my tiny house. It’s a 1995 Intervec Falcon 190 Class B RV.

Lately I have been calling it our guest house because it’s parked outside of our 500 square foot apartment–interior pics coming soon!

It’s a micro efficiency on wheels. It has a couch that converts into a small bed. A loft sleeping area up top with very little head room.

A little kitchenette with a refrigerator, cook stove, sink, and cabinets.

And a little shower and toilet in the rear.

Note: This has since been sold.

Meet Glenn–he has been living in a Class B van in L.A. and is now on a summer odyssey across the U.S. We both happen to have the same model RV. One day he sent me a message inquiring about the windows on his rig.

Glenn is sharing his experiences traveling on his blog, To Simplify. He has been posting great pictures and I’m excited to continue following his journey. Let’s get the word out to help support his trip and motivate him to continue sharing his adventures with us.
