  This property is located on a peninsula and in the photos you can see the ocean; great views. Also, it is also not too far from Melbourne.
  I wonder if the ocean views are what makes this property so expensive?

  .. This property is located just over an hour away from the city of Melbourne on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula (where the have their holiday houses) surrounded by wineries, spectacular views and a national park .. Suburbia, pristine beaches and multi million dollar properties are just minutes away .. I know because I live about a twenty minute drive away from it in Frankston .. It’s actually very likely to be worth millions ..

  Living in CA, this is an insane bargain. If I can talk my boss into letting me work from home, and I could get high speed Internet and cellphone out there, I’d strongly consider it. If it’s still there in 6 months, and it looks good inside and all the logistics work, I’d be a player on this.

  I live relatively close to this property and the price would be well into the millions based on the sea views and land component. Australian property values are inflated due to a number of reasons currently and this property is in an upmarket area.

  Just to update everyone on this property, I finally found a site that showed this property sold originally in 2008 for 3 million. The 500K price is just the default setting of the price calculator at the bottom of the listing page.
  I think the reason on all the other listing pages that no price is shown is that if you are serious then you will check out other land/houses in that area and see that most sold upwards of 1+ million.
