Caitlin left a large traditional home after a divorce and moved into a custom-built van conversion that met all her needs. She credits the transition with improving her mental health, finding freedom in downsizing and minimizing her belongings.

Despite going tiny, she didn’t sacrifice comfort. Her van, named “Vanastasia,” features a wet bathroom with an Airhead composting toilet, quartz countertops, and even a dishwasher—which she appreciates because it uses minimal water. The build was completed by Boujie Builds from Fayetteville, North Carolina.

John Weatherbe works as a professional photographer, and he wanted a van conversion that would take him to remote locations and allow him to get epic nature photos. At first, he tried converting the van himself, but he eventually decided that wasn’t his expertise and he had it professionally finished — and the results are amazing!

He went with an army green exterior and dark gray/wood tone interior. It feels modern, rugged, and cozy! He has a great set-up for storing his gear and “working from home.” Check out the tour below!

This adventurous couple met at a climbing gym and, not too long afterward, did a 4-weekend conversion of their first inexpensive van. They used that rig for two years as a weekender van but then started the search for a Sprinter so they could do a full conversion. Once that van was complete, they decided to hit the road full-time.

Alex is a travel physical therapist, and Sean is a traveling carpenter, so their garage is full of well-organized tools that allow him to work on the road. They also prioritized a bathroom in the van with a toilet that slides away when not needed. What do you think of their home on wheels?
