This is the story of the Mejia family and how they ended up to downsize into a tiny house that they built themselves. Before they were living tiny, they were super busy, and would hardly really get to spend very much quality time with each other and with their son.
Then, the lay off came. That’s when they started seriously looking into alternatives and ran into the tiny house movement. The rest, as they say, is history. Please enjoy. This story is brought to you by Tiny House Giant Journey. Thanks, Jenna!?

This is Matt and Lisa’s mind-blowing tiny home on wheels. It features a jet black exterior finish which compliments the modern design. Their tiny house also has an abundance of large windows including skylights along the entire roof. You can tell right away that this is a very special and one-of-a-kind tiny home. One of the most unique features about it is the double shower in the bathroom. Yes, this tiny house has two showers in the same bathroom. As it turns out, Matt is a professional bathroom remodeler/builder.
Another unique feature of this tiny house is the extra ceiling height which allows you to stand up before laying down in bed in your loft. I love this! So if you sometimes feel claustrophobic I think it might be different in this loft, what do you think? Currently, the top comment on the Living Big In A Tiny House YouTube video tour for this home reads, “This is probably the most beautiful tiny house ever.” What do you think, is it true?

This is the story of a man who recently built a shed tiny house for only $1,500 in Orlando, Florida. If you’re tired of seeing $20k, $30k, $40k, and $50k+ tiny homes, this is a bit of a relief, isn’t it?
Rob Greenfield built his tiny house using 99% recycled/reclaimed materials. And in building his tiny house, he only created about 30 pounds worth of waste.
It gets better, too. He has a wonderful outdoor kitchen, bathroom, garden, composting system, rainwater collection system, and he’s even found a way to create energy from food scraps. He explains it all below.
