This is to announce a project called Constellation ATX which is a project said to bring up to 500 tiny homes to the Austin, Texas area, according to Culture Map and up to 275 tiny homes according to Yahoo! Finance.

This could finally be the start of true legal and affordable tiny house living opportunities that could potentially spread throughout the country.

The Kyle project, tentatively called Stage Coach, will be near Center Street, the main road in the Hays County suburb. The community will have room for nearly 400 tiny homes, according to Davis.1

You’re probably one of many people who desperately wish it was easier to live in tiny houses legally without having to move across the country.

Right now, there are places to live tiny, but there’s not that many. In fact, it’s still illegal in most places and there aren’t far enough tiny house friendly communities out there to support us.

That’s why Alexis, Christian, Kai, and a handful of other tiny house enthusiasts are coming together to create a free documentary to educate people on legal tiny house living options. I’m confident that this will directly impact and influence the number of tiny house communities throughout the world. And right now you can help raise money for this free film by selecting and purchasing a perk to receive with your donation. Please enjoy the film preview below, learn more, and re-share below because we need your help to spread the word! Thanks!

A group of local teens in Seattle are developing an eco-village called The Impossible City to benefit the local homeless people in the area.

They’ve even put together an Indiegogo fundraising campaign that has so far raised a total of $27,744 as I write this.

With the campaign scheduled to close on April 26, 2015, they’re just a few thousand dollars short of their goal to raise $32,205. And it looks like they’re going to make it!

This project is backed by Sawhorse Revolution which is a non-profit carpentry program for high school students in Seattle. So far they’ve designed a green house, micro home, solar hubs, communal kitchens, composting outhouses, and more for the village (all of which you can see sketches of below). Please enjoy and re-share below. Thank you.
