The answer is, not really! The truth is that tiny houses on wheels and RV’s parked on residential properties are simply being tolerated while parked on residential property in Portland, Oregon for the time being.

Now settled in Sisters, Oregon, the Hooleys have embarked on their latest adventure: building their very own tiny home on wheels.
Fondly named “The North Sister” after the local mountain peak, their 300-square-foot home showcases the culmination of their construction experience and their passion for community development work around the world. Every inch of this tiny abode tells a story, with handcrafted details and ingenious design elements that maximize functionality and comfort. From custom storage stairs adorned with bamboo for a soft step to a stunning full-sized shower featuring corrugated metal and exposed copper pipes, The North Sister is a testament to the Hooleys’ dedication and creativity.

Both homes are Traveler XL model tiny houses on wheels by ESCAPE. One in Santa Rosa that survived the fire (photo below taken by a firefighter) and the other THOW is in Miami where Hurricane Irma had a major impact (100MPH winds). Both of them, fortunately, survived with minimal damage.
This is a tiny house on wheels with huge slide outs by Zero Squared in Canada. It’s called the Aurora. I think these are the largest slide outs I’ve seen yet on a tiny home on wheels (and they expand at the touch of a button). What do you think? Is this something that you would want in your THOW?

This is the story behind the now famous and magical Fortune Cookie Tiny House on Wheels built by Abel Zyl for one of his very first tiny house clients.
It all started at a coffee shop with a sketch of the design to which Abel’s client immediately accepted. Towards the end of the video tour, Abel even shows you how he designed and built this tiny house too! It’s a really great video and I think you’ll enjoy it a lot.
