Britney traded three goats and a sheep to get the epic floating staircase made from old barnwood installed in her tiny home. She uses the THOW as a vacation rental on her family’s peach farm, which has been theirs since 1810!

It’s 27 feet long and 9 feet wide, and the frame was built by a secondary trade school. Inside you’ll find a white interior complimented by tons of vintage and thrifted items, including a funky mustard yellow couch! Outside there’s a private deck area with views of the orchard.

Danielle at Exploring Alternatives did a lovely video tour with Britney of the THOW, which you’ll want to check out below!

Yes, there are still more tiny house rentals at the Acony Bell Tiny House Community in North Carolina we want to show you! This Airbnb, called the Firefly Hideaway, sleeps 6 (4 adults and 2 kids).

There is a ground floor queen-sized bedroom and a loft with another queen. The sofa folds out into a third sleeping area for two. My favorite feature is the large kitchen with a full-sized oven. Cooking for your family while on vacation is a great way to save some money!

You can book the home on Airbnb.

If you’re looking for a quiet, WiFi-free vacation to get back to basics, why not stay at Elizabeth’s Quaint Tiny Home, which she built with her dad? Located in Northern Michigan, just a few miles from downtown Charlevoix, her tiny house getaway features tons of sweet touches and 5-star reviews.

She supplies you with s’mores, snacks, and even a scrapbook of the building so you can see the history and hard work behind the place. The home is in the woods with plenty of walking trails, so you can get outside and enjoy a little forest bathing. What do you think?

What a cute tiny home mountain retreat for your next vacation (which is hopefully soon!). If you are thinking about buying a tiny house on wheels, I highly recommend staying a few nights (or a whole week!) in one to get an idea of what it’d really be like.

Of course, living in a space is much different than staying for a short time, but this is a very standard compact THOW that would help you get your feet wet. It sleeps up to three, has heating and air conditioning and is fully stocked with linens and towels. There is a grill outside as well as a community hot tub. And you can’t beat the views!

Book your stay at GlampingHub!

Last week we got in touch with multiple tiny home dwellers to talk to them about living life in a tiny house during the pandemic. Now we’re here to say: Maybe some of us who are stuck in the city can try it too!

Some vacation rentals on Airbnb across the country are opening their doors to city-dwellers who need an escape and a safe place to stay socially distant in. Quarantine looks a lot different in a locked in a high rise than it does on a piece of land in nature where you can get outside and enjoy fresh air even if you aren’t able to be a tourist.

So we made a list of some of our favorite Tiny House Vacation spots in the US & Canada below for you!

We post this with great caution: In no way do we at Tiny House Talk want to encourage the unnecessary spread of the virus. Please only consider tiny living for quarantine if you’re currently in a city/urban area where social distancing is difficult. Do not rent any of these places if you’re feeling ill, and make sure to truly stay quarantined when you arrive. While these are in great locations, this isn’t the time to sight-see.

Also try to find one within driving distance of your home, so you don’t have to fly in order to get there.

This is the amazing Jude CABN tiny house in Australia. It’s an off-grid oasis tucked into the natural Australian landscape.

The goal is to disconnect your devices and reconnect with nature or loved ones. Play a board game, read a book, go on a hike, check out a kangaroo — you get the idea. The Jude has a modern Scandinavian vibe and is a 25 minute drive from Adelaide’s CBD. It comes with everything you need to cook, shower and relax.
