I really like this tiny cabin‘s modern look and feel.

Especially because everything remains simple. Really simple.

This modern micro house was designed to be a weekend getaway.

In it you’ll find a lofted sleeping area with a great view thanks to the cabin’s design.

There’s a screened porch area along with a deck. Take a look for yourself below.

This is the Miter Box Tiny House on Wheels. It’s designed by Shelter Wise LLC in Portland. And for a while, back in 2013, it was part of the Tiny House Hotel in Portland, Oregon.

You can still buy the tiny house plans from PAD Tiny Houses (they’re currently selling for $79.00) and you can use those plans to build your own version of the Miter Box or you can hire a contractor to do it for you (using the plans).

This tiny house was completed in June 2013. Its nickname is “The Miter Box” because of the precision of the project. This 90 square foot house features a dining table that converts into a queen bed, much like in many RVs. In addition, it offers two other lofts. And the bathroom is a wet bath.

Hank is an architect student who bought a bus for his final project.

He was tired of doing projects that weren’t real. They were just on paper.

Hank’s grandfather owns an 80-acre parcel of land in Wisconsin where they wanted to build a tiny cabin on the land.

But because of building codes and zoning regulations in the area they were only allowed to build a cabin so small.

So for the last few years, they’ve been discussing the idea of buying a bus and turning it into a cabin to use while on the property.

I like to always update you with tiny houses on sale that really catch my eye. This one, in particular, happens to be only 196 square feet and stands on a 24′ trailer.

Asking price? $37,000. I think that’s a pretty good deal for what it is (see below). The seller of this little home is actually a furniture designer by trade and built the entire house himself with the help of his wife and family. He states that the idea behind his design was to keep it as open/spacious as possible but at the same time creating separate feeling spaces. What do you think?

Now here’s a tiny house that instantly makes you feel like you’re looking at a UFO.

Only it’s not a UFO. It’s a modern tiny house called Futuro.

This is a totally out of this world home designed by architect Matti Suuronen in 1968.

The nature of it’s design reflects the mentality of the sixties when people began to believe that technology would solve all problems in society.

It was accommodated to fit up to 8 people and constructed out of reinforced plastic.

I love this type of tiny house because it has a bit of that modern touch that I enjoy so I just had to share it with you.

Well, it isn’t exactly a tiny house, it’s actually a backyard study and office.

The owners, Celestino Piralla and Cornelia Stumpf, wanted more space in their home where they can work, do art and study.

So instead of adding another room and risk changing the footprint of their house, they decided to utilize the extra space in their backyard to create a 320 square feet studying/working headquarters.

It’s assuring to know that one of TIME’s top 100 most influential people in the world has planted his prints in the tiny house community.

This man is an Italian prize winning architect by the name of Renzo Piano who has created his own high tech self sufficient tiny house prototype.

He is known for creating some of the most magnificent structures around  the world including the tallest skyscraper in Europe, named The Shard.

The ShardNow when you hear his credentials I’m sure you assume that his tiny house probably wouldn’t be so tiny. 300 square feet maybe? Definitely not less than 200, right?

Guess again. Piano’s tiny house project, dubbed ”Diogone” is a wooden saddle-roofed house that has a surface area of 2.4 x 2.4 meters and a ridge height of 2.3 meters. Correct me if I’m wrong but that’s just around 62 square feet!

I’m sure you’re wondering, “How did the same man who built something as large as The Shard (Europe’s tallest skyscraper) turn around and decide to build a tiny house that sounds like it might even be too small for people like you and me, who are tiny houses enthusiasts?

Well, this is not no regular tiny house because ”Diogone” was designed to function in various climate conditions as a self sufficient system that collects its own water and even supplies its own power.
