This is Charles Finn’s micro cabin that he built using reclaimed materials.

It’s an 8′ x 12′ structure with a 5-foot loft called the Potomatic Cabin. It’s even been featured in Lloyd Kahn’s Tiny Homes, Simple Shelter book.

Finn is now building more tiny cabins using reclaimed materials. In fact, he’s built several of them to date and if you’d like, you may even be able to arrange to have him build one for you.

This is a beautiful micro cabin that’s being used as a clay art studio by Soleil Fleming who creates porcelain art jewelry in it and sells it online and in her Etsy shop.

The tiny cabin boasts large windows, a slanted shed-style roof, and a small covered front porch with a hammock to relax on. When you go inside you’ll find a simple art space with porcelain art tools.

This little cabin serves as a reminder that tiny structures can be used as creatively as you can imagine, doesn’t it? If you could have an extra micro cabin on your own land what would you use it for? Let us know in the comments below. Please enjoy, learn more, and re-share below. Thank you!

This is a modern micro cabin in Italy called the Larch Hut. It’s designed by Arboreal Architecture and reminds me of a modern version of the tiny cabin that Thoreau stayed in at Walden.

Inside you’ll find it’s very minimalist because it consists of a bed, a desk, and some overhead storage.

What do you think? Can you see yourself living this simply, even if it’s only temporary? To explore more tiny homes like this, join our Tiny House Newsletter.😀

This is a 60 sq. ft. micro cabin built by Barbara Diaz of Cottage Camper.

Since we last featured Barbara’s camper, she has added some upgrades to it. She raised the roof so that it’s now 6 feet tall, painted the roof white to reflect the Florida sun, added more windows, installed custom made curtains and cushions, and installed solar exterior lights. Pretty nice, isn’t it?

When you think of tiny house living, I’m not sure exactly what comes to mind. But if you’re thinking simplicity, affordability, and freedom…

This man has built that life for himself. It started with a $950 micro home on a trailer that he bought on Craigslist. And it’s evolved into a wonderful micro homestead in California. Rob Greenfield has appropriately named his new micro house the Teeny Greeny.

Some may think he’s crazy… That he’s lost it, right? But you and me can both see that he’s happy. In fact, some of us might even feel a little bit of envy as he lives a lifestyle with almost no bills and no worries. He seems to have complete freedom, happiness, and radiant health… And the financial cost for this life? Next to nothing. Yet he seems to be living at a level of abundance that trumps over the average life of today’s millionaires and upper class citizens because he’s stress-free and gets to live his life on his own terms.

On top of that, he has created a beautifully functional homestead with a gorgeous outdoor bathroom, outdoor kitchen, and an area in the yard he calls his bird nest where he relaxes, reads, and enjoys the ocean view. You’ve got to see it to really understand it so please enjoy and re-share below. Thank you!
