Just about 6 months ago Clay and Bridgette sold their 1600 sq ft house and downsized into a 230 sq ft school bus! They’re now living debt-free in San Diego, California with their dog, Piper, and cat, Shadow.

Both Clay and Bridgette (@ourdaggonebus on Instagram) are Active Duty Navy and found they weren’t using most of the space in their larger home. While they weren’t ready to commit to a tiny van, a bus allowed them to downsize and still feel comfortable in their space. They were kind enough to answer some questions about bus life, which you can find at the end of the post!

Make sure you watch their Instagram story tour as well to see all the great storage this bus conversion has. Enjoy!

Sheena and Nate met while Nate was living van-life. Sheena was always interested in van-life, but was nervous to jump in as a solo female. She and Nate hit it off and she moved into the van pretty quickly.

We are selling our converted school bus after our road trip around USA and Canada has come to an end. And now it is time for us to move towards new adventure and this is why we are selling. We have put all our love and energy building this bus. That’s why we wish to see it go to a family that will take care of it and will take it to new adventures.

The bus has been designed to live autonomously, off-the-grid, and boondocking for more than 2 weeks in the wild. We built a state of the art tiny house on wheels. Also we designed it to be modular so you can host friends and family wherever you are and whenever they want to join your adventures. You can check out the work that we accomplished on our instagram beautifulmorning-dot-life.

This is the VicariBUS skoolie. Meet Heather and Nick and their awesome doggie named Miles. They’re a couple with a dog who are traveling in their custom-built skoolie! Have you ever wanted to travel cross country in your own school bus conversion? That’s what they’re doing. And we think it’s awesome! Where do you think you would end up for a while if you have your own school bus conversion kind of like this?

We are three people – one of whom happens to technically be a dog – who have decided to get rid of all of our stuff, put working on hold (mostly), and to get out and live a little.
