This is a shuttle-bus turned into an off-grid motor-cabin. And guess what? It’s available for $54,500 as I write this via Van Life Trader out of Denver, Colorado. The sellers used it as a mobile ski cabin while in Colorado, but they’re moving to Europe, so this love-shack needs new ownership.
According to the listing, it was converted from shuttle bus to cabin back in 2018. It’s a 1994 Ford E-350 with 81,000 miles, 2WD, automatic, with a diesel engine. There are two seatbelts and it’s designed to sleep two. What do you think?
This family of five downsized from a 6 acre homestead in Minnesota to full-time living in a 40 ft. bus conversion, and they couldn’t be happier with their pared down lifestyle.
The coolest part of this bus? The back 7 ft have been dedicated to the wife/mom’s mobile salon! She has her mobile license and they built the space to proper codes so she can do hair on the road. Pretty amazing.
Their three kids, ages 9, 8 and 5 have always homeschooled and love their bunk “bedrooms” and tiny lifestyle. Check out the video tour from Tiny House Giant Journey below!
Sheena and Nate met while Nate was living van-life. Sheena was always interested in van-life, but was nervous to jump in as a solo female. She and Nate hit it off and she moved into the van pretty quickly.
Their build is incredibly simple without heat, air, a fridge, toilet or sink, but it works for them, gives them a place to lay their heads and enjoy the thing they truly love… Adventure.
This is the Evans family (their Instagram). They’re a family of 8 with pets (3 dogs and a snake) living on a bus that they renovated themselves. That’s 8 people, 3 dogs, and a snake living and traveling out of a DIY bus conversion (their YouTube Channel).
They are excited to be traveling the world and giving their children real experiences instead of just reading and watching movies. Pretty cool parents, right? This story is brought to you thanks to the Tiny Home Tours YouTube Channel.
This is a rare 1955 Flxible VL100 Bus that’s been converted into a motorhome. It’s #102 of 220 built, according to the listing on the Portland Craigslist. Update: Listing has expired/sold.
And out of those 220, there are supposedly only around 10 on the road today. And here’s one of them! It’s listed over on the Portland Craigslist right now for $59,000. What do you think?
It does 5 and a half miles per gallon but considering it weighs 26 tons, carries 30 days worth of water, and is completely ready for boon-docking, it’s really not bad. Especially when considering the completely unforgettable experience they’re creating together as a family. Their great-great-grandchildren will easily be talking about this. So what do you think? Too big or too cool?
This cozy and colourful school bus conversion was built by Aaron and Lena from Roadside Tales. They wanted a home on wheels that would allow them to explore and adventure with all the comforts of home wherever they parked it.
