It’s an open concept V House that they designed and built for a client who gave them the freedom of deciding on most of the interior design work. The house includes custom cabinets, beautiful custom lighting, lots of storage, additional flip down counter space in the kitchen, a relatively large refrigerator, ample closet space, and more. It’s really, really cool!
These are the plans to the 570 sq. ft. British Columbia small foundation home. It’s designed by Robinson Residential, and if you are looking for something to put on land, this home might be it!
The British Columbia-570 small home plan pays tribute to Frank Lloyd Wright’s contribution to residential architecture. His idea that one should “Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature….” is echoed by this beautiful province. His Usonian homes were designed to be affordable and comfortable using simple materials and construction featuring walls of doors and windows, built-in furnishings and cabinets. The large stone fireplace is the heart of this small home which features:
Large living room and dining room with bands of horizontal windows, wood beams and vaulted ceilings
Exterior doors from the kitchen, dining room and bedroom
1 bedroom, 1 bath

I dubbed This Skookum 24′ Tiny House by Westcoast Outbuildings in British Columbia “The Modern Lodge.”
From the outside, the half-log siding mixed with the forest green corrugated steel looks perfectly traditional, but the lavender-colored door hints at what’s inside. Enter the house and find a funky white curved countertop, stainless steel appliances, a sleek Kimberly wood stove, and gorgeous stone-and-tilework in the bathroom. It’s a perfect blend of cozy and chic!
Enjoy the pictures, and find contact information and additional details below.
It has 23 acres backing onto the Kottenay River. It includes 26 year-round sites with 30 amp and deep-water services tied into town sewer, along with an 8 person washhouse and laundry facilities.

Flats RV and Campground Tiny House Community in BC
Jack Hill set out to build a tiny house on wheels on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia with one honest admission: “I have no idea what I’m doing.” That kind of humble, head-first approach is exactly what makes DIY tiny house builds so inspiring — you don’t need years of construction experience to start building your own home.
His tiny house is a great example of what’s possible when you’re willing to learn as you go, problem-solve on the fly, and commit to the process one step at a time.
A cozy vacation cottage tucked away in the woods of Pender Island, British Columbia, Canada. This cottage was restored by the owners who are very crafty with woodworking, stain glass and plastering. They call it the Artwood Cottage.
The cottage has a sleeping loft, open living and dining room, a small kitchen and bathroom with composting toilet.
You can see their creative touches throughout the cottage including earthy textured plastering on the walls.
They’ve replaced the wooden stairs that lead up to the sleeping loft. And check out the custom railing upstairs. Plus the fireplace downstairs seems to be wrapped with natural stone.
