69-Year-Old Single Woman Builds Tiny Home in 4 Years on Nights and Weekends While Working Full Time!
This is the story of Nancy Park who finished her tiny house project earlier this year. She’s a 69-year-old single woman who spent FOUR YEARS building her 24ft tiny house on wheels.
Nancy works full time as an accountant so she’s been doing it on nights and weekends after taking a workshop back in 2013. After deciding on a shed style roof, Nancy bought a 24ft trailer from Ronco Trailers in San Diego and started building the tiny house right in her garage!
She did most of the work herself aside from getting help with the roof, electrical, and plumbing. It’s called the High Desert Tiny House and it’s now it’s available on Airbnb.

This “tiny house” tipi is completely off the grid with solar for power, a wood stove for heat, a unique shower for hot water, and propane for cooking.
It was built by Stan and Kedarnathan who started the “Les Pieds sur Terre‘ eco-resort in Saint Calixte, Quebec, Canada.

Remember Professor Wilson? He’s the teacher I once told you about who took a dumpster and turned it into a tiny home and then followed through by living in it for 10 months!
That’s right! He actually lived in a converted DUMPSTER for ten months (happily)!
And now, according to Kirsten Dirksen, Jeff Wilson is creating, promoting and selling the “iPhone for housing”! And I think he’s on to something!
In the video (below), Jeff says, “things have not changed in real estate since 1884,” and I couldn’t agree more!
