We hear it a lot, that tiny homes are too expensive for most people who really need them, and while there is a lot that goes into the sometimes-“high” price of tiny homes, we still love coming across a great deal! Check out this 8×12 tiny that’s selling for $10,900 in Pueblo, Colorado.

With 128 square feet, this is a simple tiny with a loft bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen area. Nothing overly fancy, but everything you need for living a minimalist life — and it’s cute too! Do be warned the mini-split needs some repairs. You can contact the seller at Tiny House Marketplace!

There are so many reasons to go tiny: To reduce costs, to live “greener,” to travel more — and for Talia, to have a clean and simple living area that helps her live well as a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). We got to interview Talia and she tells us more about what it means to be an HSP, her tiny life, and her work helping others live more simply.

Her home was built for her by Mint Tiny Homes in British Columbia, and Talia said she had a great experience with the builder. Inside she has a loft bedroom, comfortable living area, kitchen complete with a farmhouse sink, and a spacious bathroom with a subway tile shower.

Enjoy the photo tour and our Q&A with Talia!

It’s by no means typical to find a free space to park a tiny house, but Kaci and Eric’s experience shows that living small really can save you big! They found a kind 83-year-old man with a couple of acres, yurts, and a greenhouse who allows them to live on his land in Bend, Oregon, free of charge and even use his greenhouse and grounds to grow food. How amazing is that?

The couple (@kacisage on Instagram) live in their renovated school bus with their two adorable dogs, but they’ve been living tiny now for years in everything from a 200-square-foot cabin to a tent! We got the awesome opportunity to interview Kaci, so check out the Q&A after the photo tour.

Here’s your chance to jump into van life, and support a good cause while you’re at it. Lindsey Maxwell (@wander_woman_go) has been living the #vanlife for a while now but used her time during COVID-19 after she lost her job to create a second van with her partner to sell.

But it’s not all for-profit: She’ll also be donating a portion of the profits to No Kid Hungry and the National Alliance to End Homelessness, which is pretty awesome!

All the details on the van build, for sale on Craigslist, are at the end of the post (including the price!). Check out the pictures first…

The only thing better than a unique vacation spot is a historical vacation spot, and you get both with this 1926 Caboose Tiny House getaway in North Carolina!

The real train caboose has been transformed into a tiny home, complete with a living room, queen-sized bed, and kitchenette with a dishwasher!

But what really seals the deal is the attached bathroom “depot” which is larger than the caboose itself! Talk about luxury. The attached porch has plenty of seating so you can relax and take in the gorgeous, very private, views. Thanks to The Hive Drive Bus for sending us pictures and a video tour of their stay at the caboose!

This 250 square foot adobe dome getaway in Terlingua, Texas is the perfect spot for stargazing. It’s located in one of the few remaining territories with a “dark sky” ordinance, meaning there will be no light pollution to ruin your views of the Milky Way or a lovely sunrise!

The interior of the structure is cozy and eclectic, with arched windows for a cross-breeze, a double bed, and kitchen area with a stove, fridge, and sink.

While there is solar power to run the onsite refrigerator and charge phones/laptops, it won’t run a hairdryer. There’s also a composting toilet and solar bag shower, with options for paid showers in town. There is running water, but should be used sparingly. You’re not too far away from Big Bend National Park, so once it opens up again this sounds like a great headquarters! Book your stay on Airbnb.
