For seven years this family had a successful gymnastics business they ran out of a bus — but when 2020 hit, they went out of business almost instantaneously. Savings kept them afloat through October 2020, when they realized they needed to do something if they wanted a home.
So despite the difficulties and stresses associated with losing their income, they made the best of it and converted their work bus into their skoolie home! Now the couple and their son (and dog) live full-time in the bus, which they converted using furniture from their home and other repurposed materials to save money.
You can follow them as they continue making lemonade over at @raisingkindnessadventures.

Between Rom and Courtney they have 15 years of experience and 39 (you read that right) bus conversions under their belts. These awesome nomads enjoy the challenge of transforming buses into homes, so they’ve lived in a few as a couple, and then converted numerous others for folks seeking a skoolie.
Their business, “The Wrong Way Home,” offers design consultations, partial builds, and full builds. The work quickly and work onsite in order to get you your home asap. What’s especially neat is that Rom starts with your budget and then tries to work within that budget, seeing what he can offer you for what you can afford. Awesome!
Enjoy the video tour of their amazing Maxforce bus below, brought to us by Tiny Home Tours. Thanks, Allison!

Randy at Cheeky Monkey Tiny House just shared the latest version of their popular “Roomy Retreat” model, which they just delivered to a backyard in LA this week. The owners are going to rent it out.
The house features floating floors (ideal for hot weather locations) and many windows to let in natural light. For a pop of color, the client chose a purple door, sure to attract attention. This model has a unique split loft, where you can put the living room above and the guest bedroom nook below. What do you think?
