Meet Nat & Don, a couple who wanted to go tiny — and then chose to go even tinier! They started out with a bus conversion, but after some time realized it was too big, and made it tricky to find spots to boondock. With their sleek matte-black Mercedes Sprinter, they can go pretty much anywhere they want.
Both of them work flexible online jobs which they started part-time while still working their full-time “normal” jobs. They were able to get the remote work solidified before quitting their full-time work and then hitting the road, allowing them to travel the country. Awesome!

Thomas and Bianca are photographers who were ready to leave their Philadelphia apartment and explore the country more! So they purchased a bus for just over $6k and spend $20k making it into home sweet home.
They chose a unique black and white (mostly black) color scheme, complete with a dark tin ceiling and checkboard tile flooring. A neon sign with their bus name, “Avoid Highway,” hangs above their bed. They got in touch with us and answered some questions about their bus which you can read below!

This is a park model of near-monstrous proportions! It clocks in at 58 feet long and 11.5 feet wide, and includes two spacious screened-in porches (one with an electric fireplace & TV). Between the porches you’ll find a living room, chef’s kitchen, full bathroom, downstairs bedroom, and split loft bedroom for kids.
Custom-built by Movable Roots for a client who needed a short-term rental on their equestrian farm, this looks like an awesome spot to vacation. But honestly, at nearly 600 square feet you could easily live “tiny” here as a family of four or five. Tell us what you think!

Robert wanted to create a tiny house vacation property on his land, but didn’t want to build another one with a standard “cozy cabin” vibe which is common in Nashville, Indiana where he lives. Instead, he commissioned this fantastic two bedroom modern wonder with lovely forest views.
It has a large rectangular main living, dining and kitchen area, with dramatic high ceilings covered in birch plywood. The bathroom is dark, moody, and luxurious, and the two twin bedrooms have queen-sized beds, wardrobes and sleek minimalist furniture. Enjoy the tour below!

There’s nothing new about domes, but I love these ones in Colombia that seem to be covered in a taught canvas, creating an upgraded tent perfect for the mild weather of the country. There are a number of them together built on stilts into a mountain/hillside with gorgeous views.
Some are for couples, but this 20-foot-diameter one has a loft for kids (age 6 and over) and a beautiful tiled bathroom. The deck looks out on the valleys below! What do you think of this design?
