This is an amazing Amish-built tiny house for sale in New York. The 22-foot home has double lofts and the kitchen and bathroom on opposite ends of the home (for folks that prefer that for sanitary reasons). A V-shaped staircase leads to each loft and adds oodles of storage to the space.
The living room is in the middle of the home, across from the stairs. In the kitchen, there’s a 5-burner cooktop and inset stainless steel sink. The bathroom has an incinerating toilet to allow you to live off-grid. You can purchase it today for $84,900. If you’re interested in the property, the five acres the house is currently on are also for sale for an additional $59,900.

At 180-square-feet, this is quite the compact tiny house design! With the steep, sloping roofline and contrasting metal and wood siding, it hearkens back to many modern/Nordic-style tiny houses that have gained popularity recently. This one is essentially a backyard studio, with the queen bed as the focal point of the home.
A kitchen runs across the left wall, and there’s a small bathroom at the back of the house. This design would work great for a single person, or as a cozy guest cottage. If you live somewhere temperate, where the weather is almost always lovely, this would be an incredible house design! Since I live in the North, there’s no way I could manage my living and dining room perpetually outdoors, but I can imagine this could work for some in a more tropical climate. Or, perhaps, if you just want to acclimate yourself to spending more time out of doors. What are your thoughts on this design?
Technically, the space is 576 square feet, but only half of that space is actually “inside.” The bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom are walled in, while the living and dining quarters are on the covered porch. It might not be practical for most, but it’s a fun idea. What do you think?
