Yanick and Sonja had spent years too poor to travel and then in school and with jobs that tied them down. When Yanick finally finished school, they were free to go on an adventure, but not willing to backpack in their 30s. So van life (or, SUV-life) was a great option for them.
They refer to their self-converted Toyota Land Cruiser as their “two-story apartment” because of the pop top that allows them to sleep on the upper level at night. They also have couch-to-bed option on the first level when they need to stealth camp. Their giant batwing awning allows them to be outside in any kind of weather. What do you think?

Aiden and Sarah were first introduced to vanlife when on a trip to New Zealand. They ended up finding a small and simple rig and traveled in it for some time before returning home. That’s when the idea to offer stunning camper vans for vacation rental in Ireland came to them. Life happened, but eventually, they came across a high roof long wheel base Volkswagen Crafter which they turned into “Vanda.”
Vanda is a beautiful rig complete with a bathroom, galley kitchen with two burners, and a convertible bed, so you can enjoy a meal inside and snuggle into the large bed at night with plenty of room to stretch out. Don’t miss our Q&A with the Dream Big Camper team below the picture tour.

Sierra loved to travel and wanted a way to see the world with her dogs in tow. Vanlife was a great option, especially because her job went remote and allows her flexibility. She has a ProMaster which was professionally converted by Off-Grid Adventure Vans, and it’s truly a work of art.
Because she loves to cook, Sierra wanted an oven with three burners. She has a Nature’s Head hiding under the kitchen cabinet, which transforms into a vanity space when needed. The Murphy bed set-up does take away from some storage, but she loves it for the versatility in her living room/bedroom/office. What’s your favorite part?

We’re excited to introduce you to a new tiny house builder: Smith Tiny Homes! Here’s their story:
My husband and I both built this together. This was our first time building a tiny house. He has 30 years in building. I have none. We started our business in summer/fall 2022. Our business is Smith Tiny Homes, Smith, Tiny and Solar. The idea behind our business is with my husband’s 30 years in construction, and we lived off the grid for 5 years, really why not. The cost of living is terrible. With that in mind we try to keep the cost of our tiny homes down.
Check out the pictures below of their model tiny home, which is for sale for $75K.
