To ‘sojourn’ means to rest, abide, dwell or stay. It’s about having a break from the journey, to be refreshed. There is an element of temporariness to it which we feel is captured by the relocatable nature of our homes. You can stop awhile, & move on in your own time, taking your resting place with you.

A nice house for a family with kids.
I like the kitchen and the big fridge, bump out and spacious bathroom especially this wooden sink.
However, I don’t see a dining space for a family of more than two.

Love this Tiny House. However I reside in the U.S.A. So, when are you coming here to set up shop? What is the cost of this one, as it sits?

You can have it shipped to the US if you like. According to their website the cost of the unit starts at $110,000 in Australian dollars which translates to approximately $76,100 in USD.

Very beautiful tiny house and well laid out. Thanks for posting it.

Where do people store clothing in tiny houses? Don’t people work jobs or live in places with seasons where different attire is needed for different occasions and must be stored when not in use?

Unless it’s intended as an AirBNB, vacation home, or guest house, there’s always some sort of storage. It just may not be in a form that’s easy to recognize, like storage stairs, storage seating, storage bed, etc. Or it’s not shown because the owners hadn’t moved in yet and you’re only seeing the staging from the builder.

A lot can be installed when the owner moves in or they may have opted for furniture that provides that function… It’s also sometimes hidden like underneath floors, moveable walls, etc. Or more obvious like a hanging bar in the loft, etc.

But it is ideal to minimize in a tiny home and simply not have that much or keep some of it in exterior storage. For those with land, storage shed is pretty common.

I would love to live in one..
How much would it cost to get one and ship it too..

US $76,100 + shipping costs, probably about US $50,000… so if you’re prepared to wear that cost you can get that one. NOTE: shipping costs are an estimate and could vary either way.

Its a beautiful tiny house but I wouldn’t want to raise kids in such a small space.
I didn’t see hardly any storage. The shower will get water all over the floor in the bathroom & with kids it would be a mess. Tiny kids need a tub to bath in, in my opinion but there is only a shower.
I would want some type of dining table, eating bar or something with kids. I would not want to be eating on the floor.
I would have a dishwasher in the kitchen & a lot more storage space.
It is nice to have the head room in the loft bedroom. That goes a long way with me.
There is a lot I would change but if the family loves it & can deal with the small space then its great for them.
I hope they always have somewhere to park it.

Beautiful, high-end house. I was especially interested to see the low-riding tires. What a great idea — definitely would improve the interior use of space! And since most tiny houses are moved rarely, I think that is an excellent choice to make! And by the way, he showed us the dishwasher in the video!

Really beautiful craftmanship. The one thing I never understand about how these spaces are designed is that there is no clothes storage, I did not see one place for clothing/shoes to be stored…that is an issue.

This is a lovely home with lots of sleeping space for a family, but I was unable to tell from these pictures just how you get to that beautiful bathroom. Is it next to the kitchen?

Yes, directly next to the kitchen and under the loft that’s accessible with the ladder next to the fridge… If photos are confusing, watch the video tour as he goes from the kitchen to the bathroom in the video…

What are the measurements? That shower design is similar to what I want in a small camper. I wonder how they made it and how deep the shower floor is to reduce water flow onto the regular floor. Different countries do have different designs and requirements. This is a nice trailer for size and color combination.

General details are on their site… The maximum height is 4.3m, the maximum width is 2.5m and the maximum length is 9m (10.5m including the draw bar). Main restriction for them to be road legal in Australia is they are limited to a weight of 4.5 tonne. So this is about as large as they can go and still keep within that weight limit…

While shower stalls are generally pre-fabricated products you can just purchase and install. Typically a fiberglass mold but can also be acrylic, PVC, solid surface materials, steel and cast iron…. So this shower is just a standard full size 900mm x 900mm (~35.43″ x ~35.43″) corner shower, with a custom rod & high quality curtain… Available products will vary per country but just search for a pentagonal frameless shower corner to find similar products. The curved version would be more common, though, and you can decide which version fits best in the space you want to use it…

They state they try to exceed the standards of even a regular house and their products will last a very long time. Examples like any wood used in the bathroom would be treated like building a sauna with the appropriate wood type and oil treatments, etc. So standards should meet or exceed requirements in most places… They have a video on materials they use, etc.
