This is Indigo River Tiny Home’s fanciest model yet — a 39-foot gooseneck THOW complete with two storage lofts, a living room gooseneck, and a ground-floor bedroom with built-in wardrobes. The owners added tons of upgrades to make this a truly luxurious tiny home.
Especially in tiny homes, the kitchens and living rooms tend to be one large space. What do you think of separating them?

Ok so I want this tiny house now!! And I am not joking either.

Hi,
Thanks Alex, I will reach out and see but so far everyone has a year time-frame wait or more and I wanted it sooner than that. Also, prices are way up there because of everything that is going on.
Why do designers and builders think that all bathrooms and kitchens must be dark and dreary and dull. What ever happened to the colors of the rainbow, you do not see black, gray or white in a rainbow. I think all these people in the design world are stuck in a box and afraid to come out and see that a pretty soft yellow in a kitchen is really nice and welcoming..LOL
I understand why folks would prefer more color rather than the Black, Grey and
White that is prevalent. I personally like the idea of basic white with pops of color added by using art work, pillows, plants and art objects. That way, one can change the color landscape without needing to paint interior walls.
Design world? This is a custom build, so it’s the client/owner that chose the colors, layout, etc…
Shouldn’t blame builders for other people’s preferences…
No you don’t… but people don’t like to see grime or scum on the walls. That is probably why they tend to use those colours. Just my 2 cents worth.
Your right and my mistake. Many times for a decade now all I see in the design world is Gray…..I once saw a room, top to bottom gray, floors, walls, curtains, furniture, everything gray, even the dishes on the table with a cake in gray icing with a pink rose on top………disgusting in my opinion. Walking down my street, I can pick out how many gray cars there are and people wearing gray all the time, no colors, just boring dull gray. I love colors, give me the rainbow, it is filled with happiness and love and bright and beautiful……..People have become sheeples, follow the sheep all because someone else (who are these someone elses by the way) tells them gray is the most popular color out there………no minds of their own. I feel sorry for them, me, I rock the boat and step outside the box and do my own thing all the time and never wear gray or have it in my home……love having a mind of my own and doing my own thing without listening to *someone else*.
Yes, the push for conformity is very strong in our society right now and causing all sorts of issues. Doesn’t help it’s basically institutionalized from schools to media and government. Allowing examples like HOA’s to impose a lot of restrictions on home owners and pushing the mind set that being different or strange is automatically bad and even dangerous…
Stifling creativity, inventiveness, and individuality… But examples like the Tiny House movement, as a whole, is a rebellion against that trend… Albeit it can seem two step back for every step forward as fighting that institutionalization of conformity mindset is an ever vigilant and ongoing struggle…
I confess that the grey trend is wearing me out as well! But I think it is on its way out. Even Chip and Joanna Gaines painted their cabinets green!
Yes this home was specifically designed for a person who either thrives on luxury or enjoy letting others know they have the means to pay for such luxury. An example of “have and have more”.
I am not against the wide variety of design and color variations. It is available for individual choice or preference. We do need t be careful this website remains true to it’s readers by continuing to show all realms of construction from non-skilled to professionals and those struggling financially to the wealthy.
Otherwise this site may become biased and draw fewer followers.
Many posters are great for offering tips on “how to do certain asks”, “where the design or materials came from”, and why they chose this style of living. This info helps others to choose for their self what can work for them.
Wanting to live in a “tiny” home doesn’t always have everything to do with how much money you have or showing it off. Some times as people age, they just want smaller but with fine finishes and when something is small, it doesn’t cost a lot for fine finishes. Its a matter of taste. I don’t like marble, granite, etc. for counters, its Arborite for me all the way, but I’ll spend money on a drawer dishwasher every time.
I understand you not wanting the website to wander too far from its origins but if small living is going to help have us make a sustainable world, we are going to have to show people they can have all the luxury they want in a small space and you don’t have to have house cleaners come in to take care of it.
many people don’t want to live in condos or townhouses, we want a free standing house but we dont’ want all the space a traditional home offers–too much to clean, uses too many resources, energy, etc. Fortunately I live in a city where there is no min, on size house you build on your property. Buy a city lot, build a small/tiny house, and add the touches you’ve always wanted. One of the nice things about a tiny house is you can upgrade your house without spending a lot of money, which you would do in a large house. Want a specific type of flooring which costs a bundle? In a large home it might be out of the question. In a tiny house, would work without busting the budget. People live in tiny houses for all sorts of reasons. In our city there are still a few tiny houses built over a hundred years ago for coal miners. Sometimes people could afford a “fancy” wood stove, sometimes not so much.
I am the owner and designer of this house. I love Modern clean lines and the flexibility to have any color I want in my house at any time. Currently my bedroom is has purple accents and the Kitchen has Turquoise. Comments are certainly interesting….
Juli, I am in awe of your home! I absolutely LOVE it, from top to bottom! I’ve been looking at tiny houses for MANY years, dreaming of the day that I can finally afford one, and your’s has just become my favorite. The bathroom is perfection because it looks so sleek and relaxing! I can even imagine myself taking a hot shower before bed in that bathroom. Haha. You did a fantastic job, and I must say that I’m incredibly envious that you get to live in that beautiful home. Great work!
Thank you! I absolutely love my shower. It is designed after a spa in Indonesia in the lava rich country. We built this to be our forever home so we went all out! I have been in my house almost a year and still love every bit of it!!!! I also love Tiny House/RV living. The community is so rich and rewarding. Many blessings to you!
Perfection! Nice finishes
Loved it! The dishwasher draw is amazing. My past two kitchens have had them installed. They save space, hold a lot of stuff, use little water and gives you room for a drawer underneath it. They aren’t cheap, but the don’t break down and friends have had theirs for over 15 years.
Having a bedroom of the first floor is great especially for those of us who are aging baby boomers or have mobility issues.
I’ll put this one on save.
Wow that’s great to know about those dishwashers!
Can someone give me the dimensions?
I’d like to try and make something like this in Google Sketchup.
Thanks!
