Family’s Transition to Full-Time RV Life

Crissy and Brian have five children, and while the idea of traveling in an RV together had sounded attractive for a while, it wasn’t until the three teenagers moved out that it seemed feasible space-wise. They were ready to start spending more time together and more time outdoors, and their life in a toy hauler allows them just that!

Stunning Modern 24’x8′ Tiny Home Fritz Tiny Home

This was the first-ever tiny house built by Kevin and Heather Fritz that began their journey into full-time tiny house building with Fritz Tiny Homes. The incredible home is up for sale again and whoever gets it will be lucky!

Despite coming in at just 8′ 6″ wide, it feels remarkably more spacious than that with an L-shaped kitchen, comfortable living area, and a bathroom with a luxurious soaking tub and rainfall shower head! Vintage Houseboat Life in Seattle

Lily and Dylan have an incredible tiny life — living on the Seattle waterfront next to million-dollar homes — for a fraction of the cost! Their floating home allows them to enjoy incredible views without the crazy price tag.

Full-Time RV Life After a Stroke

Like so many others, the events of 2020 changed the trajectory for Libby and Alex. Instead of going to concerts all summer, they purchased an RV and started traveling. Alex also suffered a stroke at 25 which changed his perspective on life. After they went on a 6-week honeymoon exploring the Northwest, they couldn’t go back to “normal” life again!

The pair decided to rent their home on Airbnb and purchase a bigger luxury RV to fit their need to work remotely and their two large dogs. Let us know what you think in the comments.

Traveler XL: An Original ESCAPE THOW with a First-Floor Bedroom

The Traveler was the model that put ESCAPE on the map, and the XL is the version people still hunt for on the resale market. The reason is the ceiling: a cut-away, clerestory-lit roofline that gives the main living space real vertical volume. Paired with the sealed pine interior the Traveler is known for, it produces a warmth that newer, whiter tiny houses rarely match.

The layout is unusually practical for a THOW. There’s a private first-floor bedroom with a queen bed, built-in nightstand, closet, and ceiling fan — a real room behind a real door, not a loft. The kitchen carries stone countertops, a stainless convection range with venting microwave, a tall fridge-over-freezer, and a proper pantry. The bathroom holds a stone-top vanity, a tub/shower, and a laundry center. A ladder leads to a second-floor loft that works as a guest bed or storage.

This particular unit sat on Lot #7 at the original ESCAPE Tampa Village, next to the pool, and sold as a home-plus-lot-lease package — $119,515 for the house with lot rent of $595/month covering water, sewer, garbage, private deck, landscaping, gated security, and parking.

Single Mom’s Bus Life after an Empty Nest

Jamie lost her husband 17 years ago and raised her daughters on her own. About six years of that time they spent on a homestead with horses and dairy goats! But when her youngest got engaged, she decided it was time to do something for herself and see the country.

While she tried to work remotely when she first hit the road, she felt like it was taking away from her really enjoying her travels, so she’s been living off the sale of her home for now. She has plans to travel across Canada next and end up in Alaska where one of her daughters lives now.

The Cow Bus: Family of Three Hitting the Road

Margaret was traveling to National Parks when she decided a vehicle of some kind would allow her to see all the great stuff between the parks. That’s when she rekindled romance with a summer camp crush and ended up buying The Cow Bus. Their plans changed a bit when Margaret found out they were expecting, but now they’re looking forward to traveling together as a family.
