The exterior is painted an adorable Robin’s Egg Blue with creamy vanilla trim, while the inside has natural pine-clad walls filled with spray foam insulation.

Here’s another A-Frame inspired by Deek Diedricksen’s plans. Because of the hot weather in Missouri, they decided to frame in the expansion and it makes for some great extra space — very clever adaptation!
You can book your stay here on Airbnb. There’s a nearby bathroom cabin with enclosed outdoor showers and private toilet/sink areas, as well as an outdoor kitchen with gas and charcoal grills, a microwave and gas camp stove.

Looking for a special place to stay? This earth home in La Prado, New Mexico is a simple camping-like experience in a fun round dwelling that lets you get close — or inside — the land.
The adobe walls and floors were created from local clay, and the timber came from the Taos mountains. There’s a composting toilet outside the Kiva structure, as well as nearby hot springs for a shower experience (no running water in the home). Rhett And Jennifer knew each other in high school and reconnected in college when they started dating. Believe it or not, the Cozy Roller THOW they now live in isn’t Rhett’s first tiny house build! Rhett and his dad built a THOW when he was in high school, but it was too bulky and heavy to travel in.
Learning from his previous “mistakes,” this 120 square foot THOW weighs just about 5,000 lbs and is easy for the couple to tow and use to travel the country. It even features a magical hidden bathroom, which is super neat. Want a tiny house like theirs? They are selling and building replicas of their innovative design for $30,000!
I also loved that they built what they could with the resources they had — right now they’re saving up for a stove/oven and washer/dryer and doing without in the meantime. Pretty wise for young people! You can watch the full tour from Tiny Home Tours below.

My favorite aspect of tiny homes is that they force a certain amount of creativity that one doesn’t need in a larger home. That becomes incredibly evident in this cabinet maker’s stunning 39-foot tiny house in Australia!
Colin and his wife Megan built this incredible modern tiny house on a gooseneck trailer. While they subcontracted the frame and some other aspects, Colin’s expertise as a cabinet-maker came out as he added all kinds of hidden drawers and cubbies to help them store and organize their goods.
There is seriously not an inch wasted in this home! They have a stand-up bedroom over the gooseneck, with plenty of hanging storage and dream-worthy closets, a living room with an oversized comfortable couch, and even a clever stand-up work desk space in the secondary loft. This latest build from Tru Form Tiny is a gorgeous Villa model with a downstairs bedroom that has a modern farmhouse vibe. The client wanted to maximize the sleeping area and chose a downstairs bedroom, as well as a large living room with space for a comfortable couch.
The kitchen is more compact but includes a cool swivel countertop to allow more workspace. There’s also an under-counter fridge, washer/dryer combo unit, and an induction cooktop in the kitchen. The bathroom features the rarer incinerator toilet, as well as a luxurious tiled shower and a tiny sink.

Mario is one of our Tiny House Talk readers and submitted this fantastic guest house/weekend cottage that’s an A-frame with a terrace (porch) and absolutely stunning views.
He was inspired by Derek Diedricksen’s $1,200 transforming a-frame cabin (check it out here) and spent Saturday and Sundays building the a-frame with his brother over the span of about 5 months. While the home doesn’t have water and/or electricity right now, Mario plans to add in a kitchen and some solar panels in the future. There is an out-house near the cabin, and a second-story loft that sleeps about one person.
With the porch included, the A-frame is about 5 x 4 meters ( approx. 16×13 feet), and the inside of the a-frame is 3 x 3 meters (around 10×10 feet). He spent $4,500 on the build and it’s quite fantastic!
