Vintage vacation? Enjoy stepping back in time in this lovely renovated 1955 travel trailer at Asheville Glamping! She’s called the Silver Bettie.

The trailer sleeps 4 (one bedroom and one pull-out couch) and stretched 31 feet. The best feature? A four person hot tub! Even though the trailer is a piece of history, they added modern touches like a tiled shower with excellent water pressure and air conditioning to keep you cool.

I’ve wanted a tree house ever since I saw the tree house village they built in Swiss Family Robinson! But, because these are up in the trees so few include running hot water, which is something I’m quite accustomed to. That’s why The Nest in the Asheville Glamping (@ashevilleglamping) campground is so nice — all the wonders of a treehouse, including the suspension bridge, along with an indoor bathroom.

The bridges take you to the lovely craftsman front door. The home has board and batten siding that’s painted a forest green to blend into the trees. There’s a lovely side deck with chairs where you can take in the woodland views. Inside is a small kitchenette, bench couch seating, and a queen-sized bed.

While we introduced you to Tiny Tranquility back in 2018, much more has happened since then! The area is more developed, and has a waiting list for long-term stays, I’m afraid! There are 5 TruForm Tiny Houses at the park, which you can see in the video below.

The park has 43 sites which accept RVIA-certified tiny houses on wheels. Sites include water, power, and sewer hookups, free wifi, parking for one car (additional car — and boat — parking available) and between 2,400 and 4,000 square feet of lot space. The village now includes a Lodge complete with a 65″ flat screen TV, multiple seating areas, a wood stove, ping pong and pool tables, covered eating and grilling area and a fire pit/seating area. There’s also a 5,000 square foot dog park, a grassy park for people, and a 12,000 square foot greenhouse you can rent a part of to grow your own veggies!

Lot rent is around $575/month, plus electricity, and plot of greenhouse space is an additional $65-$150 a month. To request a spot on the waiting list or to visit the park, email tinytranquilitypark@gmail.com.

In addition to long-term stays, the park also has a handful of tinies and Airstreams you can rent on a nightly basis for vacation. One of those, the Sandbug, was built by TruForm Tiny and is absolutely gorgeous. See pictures of it below, and rent it here.

Yes, there are still more tiny house rentals at the Acony Bell Tiny House Community in North Carolina we want to show you! This Airbnb, called the Firefly Hideaway, sleeps 6 (4 adults and 2 kids).

There is a ground floor queen-sized bedroom and a loft with another queen. The sofa folds out into a third sleeping area for two. My favorite feature is the large kitchen with a full-sized oven. Cooking for your family while on vacation is a great way to save some money!

Looking for a lovely place to live in your tiny house — legally? The Acony Bell Tiny Home Community sits on a gorgeous 56 acres of land and is entering its second phase of development to provide even more spots for tiny home dwellers.

The community accepts tiny homes and park models under 400 square feet and 40 feet long, and encourage builds from local businesses. It has both long-term rental sites, and short-term Airbnb sites, which are separated. Lot rent for long-term rentals includes water, sewer, garbage, recycling, and common area maintenance. While rent varies by spot, it’s around $550/month.

Communal amenities include community gardens, edible landscapes, walking paths, a mountain bike trail, stocked fire rings, and a Community Center. You’ll be living among people who also want a minimalist lifestyle! Tours are given Saturdays from 9-12 by appointment, but you can see some pictures of the space below.
