Do you remember how cool the Adaptiv™ system for the Happier Camper was? The cube furniture could be reconfigured just like Legos to allow endless layout options. Well, they now sell an Adaptiv™ kit for select Sprinter vans!
First you’ll install their fiberglass flooring, and then your cube kit simply locks in place. They have storage cubes to make seating and a bed, as well as cubes for a cooler, sink, table and even a toilet cube. This is a really neat middle ground between a complete custom build-out by a professional, and a DIY conversion.
While you’ll have to get a quote for an exact price, they were estimating about $20K for the cube set up a couple years ago while it was in production. The pandemic and material costs likely increased that, but it’s still cheaper than a custom build-out, and you can move the pieces around to fit your needs whenever you want!

Alex & Mikayla got started on their bus not quite planning what it would eventually turn into — their “permanent” home on wheels. In their interview with Tiny Home Tours, the couple expressed how awesome it is to sit back at the end of the day and think, “Wow, we did this!”
Their bus was created on a tight budget, but you wouldn’t know just by looking at it. Their kitchen, the true focal point of the home, features a stunning long butcher block counter top with a deep sink and propane burner cook top. What I really love is their set-up in the back of the bus: Bed on one side, and their bathroom on the other side.
They also have two animal babies on the road with them, and the couple love the life their pets get to live. See more in the video below!

This 18 ft. THOW was built by Tiny Haven Spaces in middle Tennessee. The company builds tiny homes as well as tiny play spaces (think an A-frame “fort” for kids and other structures). This traditional-style THOW is selling for $59,000 and comes partially furnished.
It has that classic farmhouse-vibe with white shiplap inside and out, metal roofing, bamboo butcher block and gold accents. There’s a neat flip-down table/desk, and a queen-sized loft bedroom accessible via wooden ladder. The second loft is for storage, and there’s a mini deck out the front door.

Experience really is the best teacher. After four years living in their first van conversion, musicians Savannah and Drew found themselves with no work due to the pandemic. With all that extra time on their hands, the couple saw it as a sign to start their dream build — a 2007 Ford Shuttle Bus.
Their previous nomadic life helped them know what they needed — and wanted — most in a home-on-wheels. From an air-conditioner that runs on solar power, to the coolest guest bed/seating set-up, to a projector system on magnets, this home has all kinds of neat features! And yes, there’s a tiled shower and a toilet, too.

“I didn’t move into the van to be in a VAN. I moved into the van to be in the WORLD in more intimate and profound ways,” Rachel said.
After some other plans fell through and the pandemic hit, the stars aligned for Rachel to start #vanlife. She only owns what she could fit in the van, and she used the time during the end of her lease to really evaluate what she used daily and what she could part with.

Courtney had left her job in the fashion world looking for something different — so she headed to Southeast Asia where she started backpacking. But then 2020 happened, forcing her to move back home.
It was there she had to decide what to do, and vanlife seemed like a great choice. Soon she came across her 1999 Ford E150 and began her build-out. Unlike many of the vans we see, Courtney kept it simple! She didn’t fuss over electrical or solar or bathrooms or fancy paneling. That and she used 90% repurposed materials to keep the entire build sustainable.

Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk—who is reportedly the second richest man in the world—currently lives in a Boxabl Casita prefab tiny house, which costs a measly $50,000 (base price)! The home is in Starbase, Texas, where Musk and his team are building Starships.
Shockingly, the house is only 375 square feet. Boxabls can include several upgrades, and Musk has hinted that he spent an extra $19K on special features. Still, a $69K home for a man worth $156 billion is pretty remarkable, mainly since he currently rents the only other home he owns for events and is trying to sell it to a family. He recently sold several mansions he owned to make good on his promise to lower his carbon footprint.
It turns out Boxabl has its eyes set on outer space, which might explain its relationship with Musk. They have a video you can watch below about using their prefab homes on Mars. Below are some pictures of a Boxabl Casita prototype.

Ashley and Chad spent one year taking their dreams of tiny living and bringing them to life building their very own DIY THOW. Now the couple is expecting a baby, and planning to continue their sustainable, mortgage-free life as a family of three!
They had a budget of $35K for the build, and came in spending about $40K for their 28-foot home on wheels. They did try to use second-hand and repurposed materials as much as possible, and designed the interior with a retro 70s flair. Neither of them had any building experience, so YouTube University taught them everything!
Right now they are parked on some farmland in British Columbia, and they talked to us about their tiny life below. Also, there’s a video tour from their YouTube channel you can enjoy.

Paul and Elaine wanted to spend more time as a family and work on their debt-free journey, which is why they sold their home and moved into their 5th wheel RV which they had owned for vacations.
