Architect Stephane Gaulin-Brown designed this 600-square-foot cabin for her mother and aunt on a rocky cliff on Pender Island, British Columbia. The two sisters built it as a shared vacation space during the pandemic — while everyone else was on lockdown, they were busy on site. The foundation is anchored directly into the bedrock, the south-facing wall has 12 feet of floor-to-ceiling glass, and the exterior is finished in dark stained cedar.

Meet Dritzz. He and his dog, Cedar, were tent-living in Alaska when he came across an amazing deal on an 1986 4-wheel drive Ambulance with just 35,000 miles.
He put about $2k into making it a home. His girlfriend wanted a kitchen and a library, and you’ll find both inside his build. There’s an induction cooktop, Murphy bed made from locally-sourced lumber, and plans for an indoor shower down the road.

Here’s another awesome tiny vacation dwelling in Connecticut run by Nancy & Bert. They are the ones with that great Octagon we showed you a little bit ago.
This little cabin is partially off-grid with electricity and heat, but no running water. There is shower access at the main house. Inside the cabin you’ll find comfortable bed and a seating area. Best of all, there’s plenty of gorgeous woodlands to explore and enjoy, including a creek you can leisurely tube down.

This is Jax Austin’s amazing school bus home — and it’s his second build-out! He has been on the road for about 5 years now, including during the pandemic and through a year+ of cancer treatments.
On top of his skoolie sits a party deck complete with a golfing green. Inside he has gorgeous live-edge countertops that “waterfall,” and his bathroom includes a prototype composting toilet from a friend.

Josie had been looking into vanlife and when she got some remote work finally took the plunge. I love seeing what people can do with a non-Sprinter van, and she makes her 1999 Econoline into quite the home!
I love Josie’s spirit because delving into van living clearly boosted her confidence — from using a power drill for the first time, to cutting her bed to size in a parking lot with an electric knife. Those little things are making her more resilient and bold. She also says the unpredictability of #vanlife has made her a more “flowy” person. This is an amazing Pink Dome Bungalow in Galveston, Texas where you can enjoy an awesome family vacation. It’s about 1,400 square feet, so “small” rather than tiny, and features three bedrooms and two bathrooms!
The deck surrounding the dome adds another 2,000 square feet of outdoor living space, which is pretty incredible. Of course, the thing that makes this dome especially unique is the abundance of pink accents, from the tile to the pillows to all-pink-cookware.

Nyna showed up in New York City where she went to become an actress, and met her now-husband Trevor who happened to be the one subletting her apartment to her. They started playing music together and Nyna decided that was far more fun than acting anyway!
Eventually they recorded an album and purchased a van from Florida. However, they had to spend all their money on the van and needed to work a whole year longer before they could hit the road. At first they basically “glamped” in an unfinished van, but eventually they were able to create the awesome van they have today!
