Sami works as a handy woman, and she used her incredible expertise to build out an adventure van for her and her husband. The couple love mountain biking, so they built the entire van around being able to carry their four bicycles in the garage.
But the van is loaded with features, including an amazing transforming hidden bathroom, super cool lighting and a neat rear door open-and-close system that Sami patented and sells on Etsy! Enjoy this cool tour below.

Perhaps the coolest feature in this van is the treated cedar shower with a hide-away toilet. If you’ve ever wanted a wet bath but not a wet toilet, you’re going to want to watch this video! Oh, and the van is for sale now if you want it.

At 23 feet, this was the stretched version of ESCAPE’s Boho, and the extra length goes exactly where it should. Like every Boho, there’s no loft — instead you get a queen bed on the main floor beneath a picture window, and the added feet mean the bed no longer crowds the living space.
The exterior wears shou sugi ban-style paneling, the charred-look finish that hides weathering and road grime far better than a pale siding. Inside, open upper shelving runs around most of the walls — a deliberate choice over upper cabinets, which visually drop the ceiling in a narrow space. The kitchen carries white stone countertops, a stainless range with hood, and a tall refrigerator/freezer. The bathroom has a flush toilet, a fiberglass shower, and a frosted door. Climate is handled by a mini-split heat pump with on-demand propane hot water.
Editor’s note: this unit was listed at $61,042 (including a $4.1K discount) in early 2023 and has sold. The Boho line is still in production — current listings are linked below.

We’ve seen tons of van conversions, but the Nevis van conversion from Brown Bird and Company has some truly one-of-a-kind features. The L-shaped couch really stands out, and there’s a wet bath partitioning off the double bed in the back of the conversion.
Unlike most conversions, the kitchen is in the front of the van across the cab. This makes the inside of the van feel particularly wide open! We got to interview Laura, one of the three masterminds of the company, below, so don’t miss that.
