Mitch Craft 2-23

It never ceases to amaze me how much more spacious a 10-foot-wide tiny house is in comparison to the 8-foot-wide standard size. You can really see that in this 31-foot-long gooseneck tiny home from MitchCraft!

This tiny home has it all — a super comfy built-in sectional couch with tons of storage, a U-shaped kitchen complete with a drawer dishwasher, and a bathroom with a huge stock tank soaking tub. Head up the steps to the gooseneck bedroom where there’s standing room next to a stacked washer and dryer, a big built-in closet, and a comfy bed.

Happy couple rejecting social norms in front of their converted skoolie bus.

Karson and Brendon were turning 30 and not ready to commit to a house or kids or pets like so many of their peers. So they decided to ditch their 9-5s and do something alternative — buy a shuttle bus and make it into their tiny home!

They have a great rig with a comfortable dinette (that can become a guest bed), a bathroom with a recirculating shower, and lots of counter space. Let us know what you like most about it in the comments.

Navy veterans with their truck camper tiny house and dog outdoors.

Rebecca and Stuart were stationed together in Cuba while in active Navy service, and then spent three years long-distance when they were stationed in two different places. Once they left the military, they weren’t ready to buy a house and didn’t know where they wanted to settle down, so living in an RV seemed like the perfect solution.

While it was only supposed to be temporary, when the world shut down in 2020 they found their nomadic lifestyle more and more attractive. They ended up getting a different RV that was easier to travel in, and that’s what you’ll see below! Make sure to read our Q&A with them after the pictures.

Jordan & Sam lived full-time on the road in this amazing renovated Skoolie for a few years before buying an old home that they’re now renovating! They still live part-time in their rig, chasing adventure when they hear it calling.

Their skoolie is all wine-themed, complete with a cork wall, “wine cellar” drawer, and wine box storage. All the bibliophiles will love the pop-out bookshelf, and if you’re working on the road, take inspiration from their cool office space. Let me know what you think.

Small bus converted into a mobile market stall with handmade crafts and jewelry.

Jagaloria went to Standing Rock and met so many people living alternatively, she said it just didn’t feel right to stay in her apartment and work her life away. Thankfully, she made connections while there that allowed her to find a short bus and make it home!

Amazingly, her conversion only took one month of work with a former partner! The turquoise bus has all she needs — a bed, dinette and kitchen space — and she sells smudges, dream catchers, salves, and other products to afford her life on the road. Enjoy our Q&A with her below!

Man enjoying life next to a converted van in a small space lifestyle.

Caleb was in college when he realized college wasn’t for him, and he needed a new direction. A friend urged him to just go for something, so he converted the back of his Subaru and started traveling. Eventually, he upgraded to his DIY Astro Van which he lived in for another year.

The video below shows off his nice low-top van conversion, complete with a little kitchen and fixed bed set-up. He’s now traveling via bicycle, with all his camping gear strapped on! Now *that’s* minimalism.
