This is the story of Route Del Sol, an all-electric, solar-powered motorhome. This DIY motorhome build is very likely the most powerful solar-powered campervan in the world today and this is how it came to be.
Since that very first exchange with the ticket booth operator, I have grown much better at explaining just what it is I am driving. In the most technical way possible (for me) I exclaim that, “this is a fully electric 2010 International EStar, it’s an ex-Pacific Gas & Electric owned cargo van converted into a DIY solar-powered electric campervan.”

This is one way you can get work done during van life using an outdoor stand up desk mounted on your van’s custom bumper. Yes, this is the story of a stand up desk mounted on the front bumper of this man’s van conversion!
This bumper happens to be an Aluminess van conversion specialty bumper, the adventurous mountain bike couple also use it to hang their hammocks, by the way. Plus the van lifer, @outsidenomad, is also using a FlexFixx balance board to make his stand up work session even better. Check it out below! And please, let us know what you think in the comments. I had never thought of this before and just think it’s awesome! How about you?

This is the TransMoto Van Conversion by Wilderness Vans. It’s definitely a one-of-a-kind custom van, but I’m pretty sure you can order one from them if you wanted to.
A used one recently sold for $99,000 USD earlier this year. It was a 2018 T350, 2wd, with 4700 miles. You can look at it below and if you like it enough, you can even have one ordered. See below for more info. It’s a nice adventure van with a garage that fits three dirt bikes! Plus inside, there’s seating for four (with seatbelts).

This is a 2020 Nissan Micro Campervan Conversion by Moxie Van Co and listed for sale out of Chattanooga, Tennessee via the Van Life Trader for $40,000.
The conversion is based on a 2020 Nissan NV200 commercial compact van. This could be a great van just to look at for ideas, but it can also be a great option for weekend adventures, work trips, longer travels, and the like. I don’t know, what do you think? It sort of reminds me of the classic Volkswagen campervans from Westfalia. What are your thoughts on it?

This is a 4×4 World Traveling Expedition Vehicle. It’s a 2020 Sprinter Van Conversion by Campovans. It was originally a custom order from an Australian couple, but unfortunately, due to current circumstances, they had to cancel their plans, and so now, their custom-built van is up for sale.
The price is really out of the stratosphere, and so is this van-build, although, I wonder, how can something similar be done for way less? But the van has it all, a wet bath, exterior storage, interior storage, off-road suspension, rooftop solar panels, and more. See for yourself and learn more, below.
