Tumbleweed Tiny Houses will be appearing on HGTV’s Design Star show tonight at 9pm EST.
You’ll be able to watch the three final contestants design three of Tumbleweed’s new Box Bungalow tiny house designs which you can see below.
Update: You can watch the entire episode right now on the HGTV Design Star website.
Three Finalists to Design the Interiors of Tiny Houses
They will be working on the interior design so I believe the units will be empty except for a kitchen and bathroom.
Each one is just 99 square feet inside. If you miss the show tonight don’t worry– you can catch it on Hulu this Friday.

The Tiny House Movement
As I mentioned earlier this week when I first announced this tiny house design contest, this episode will be viewed by an audience of more than 3.5 million people.
It’s encouraging to see that the idea of living in smaller houses is appealing to more people, including the media, Even if it only means that some folks will go from 2,000 square feet to 1,200. There are so many benefits to going smaller. Fewer bills = more freedom!
Awareness of tiny houses encourages people to build an extra little house in their backyard to help support themselves or to provide housing for a loved one.
Learn More About Building Your Own
If you wanted to learn more about the Box Bungalow designs that you saw on the show, Jay Shafer, Tumbleweed’s founder, released his new book based on his new designs. Learn more about the book by watching this video.
See What Other People Think

I think they’ll be surprised that anyone would really want to live full time in one!
Hey Timaree you were right. They seemed really surprised. Two of them weren’t even able to make the designs practical enough to live in!
