Halle’s first introduction to #vanlife was actually in her Kia Soul which she used to travel the entire country for 3 months. The experience left her wanting more, and she eventually decided to jump into full-time nomadic living. She had two other rigs, including a Sprinter she shared with a former partner, and then downsized into her awesome Westfalia Vanagon!

These vintage vans were among the first, and they are always cool. She’s made some great upgrades to increase its livability and to find space for her artwork and art supplies (she sells her creations!). Right now, she funds her travels with copywriting gigs.

Here’s a new tiny house documentary I thought you might also enjoy watching.

It’s about a family of five who decide to embark on the journey of a roadtrip.

And it’s not just on any “normal” motorhome/RV/travel trailer.

They’re doing it in a 1981 VW Westfalia camper van.

Each family member can only bring one backpack.

I urge you to enjoy this almost 2 hour long 100% free to watch tiny house documentary below:

I wanted you to meet someone who decided to turn to become a van dweller in his 1991 Volkswagen Westfalia.

Kidding about the down by the river part but seriously: he decided to move into his van while still working at his job.

His reason behind it is because one of his dreams has been to become a photographer. He didn’t have to do this, as you’ll learn in a moment.

So he got rid of his house payment by living in a van made for traveling. In the video he’ll show and explain everything, including his:

  • $99 foam mattress for sleeping
  • Sleeping bag to stay warm
  • Dresser drawer underneath couch
  • Electronics and accessories
