Jennie is a remarkable woman who has lived a full life traveling the globe as a journalist. She had to pivot when the world shut down in 2020, and ended up living out of her car while planning her van conversion. Once she got her hands on the van, it only took her 15 days to complete the conversion, using metal IKEA cabinets and an IKEA couch for the main infrastructure.
The interior of the van is all Beatles-themed, with “Yellow Submarine” pillows, a Beatles quilt, and all kinds of fun knickknacks related to the band. She’s been able to visit all 50 states and all the national parks in the lower 48 states during her past couple years of travel. Enjoy her tour below!

Dan was ready to take his love for outdoor adventure to the next level and decided on this awesome custom-built adventure rig! He has tons of lights, a 4×4 dually set up, and solar panels on his rooftop deck that he can point toward the sunshine.
The interior of the rig is just as sleek as the outside. He has clean lines in his galley kitchen and yes, this van has a small but mighty bathroom! He chose a convertible set-up for the back of the van, where he could hang out with friends during the day before making it into a bed at night. What do you think?

Kath set out to live nomadically in 2017, when she purchased an RV and hit the road — for three days. She didn’t like pulling her house and hated the black tank — and ended up moving abroad instead! But she had nothing to come home to, so she decided to build a van conversion and live out of that when stateside.
She intentionally chose a lower profile van so she could stealthily park just about anywhere, and she’s made very few exterior modifications. On the inside, she wanted a fixed bed so she could crawl into it and fall asleep whenever she felt like it. She travels with a roof pod filled with her materials to do craft markets for her real flower jewelry, and a typewriter for creating poetry. Enjoy the tour!

Brandon loves adventure sports and was a carpenter by trade. Van life gave him the chance to explore the rest of the country before he officially settles down. While he misses the space his apartment had—especially for all his sporting equipment—he believes the trade-off of spending so much time outdoors and exploring new places is worth it.
Even with his experience building, Brandon still thinks he spent more time on YouTube than he did building the van! It was a learning curve, but he’s better for it. And he found a clever way to include a shower. Let us know what you think in the comments.

Here’s another incredible bespoke camper conversion from Vanpuravida in the UK, called “Henry.” The van uses its Himalayas layout, which includes a dinette that turns into an L-shaped couch, and a fixed queen-sized bed. There’s even a “spacious” van bathroom with a shower and composting toilet at the front of the build.
When you first walk in, you’ll find a little bench/shoe storage before running into the bathroom. The kitchen has both a two-burner cooktop and an oven upgrade, plus the most gorgeous backsplash! This conversion layout starts at £39,990 (~$49,860) sans the cost of the van base.
