You might remember David Rule as the young man who built his tiny house on wheels without previous building experience! Well, he’s at it again, this time building himself an amazing truck bed camper so he can travel in comfort. While similarly-sized products cost upwards of $20,000, David spent only $3,340 to complete his—and it looks so fun and homey!
He shows you the whole process while entertaining you with many “dad jokes” and plenty of playfulness. The craftsmanship is incredible, and the door has to be my favorite part. What do you think?

Amber and Giulietta started out traveling with a pull-behind trailer, but wanted something that could fit in a normal parking spot. Renovating this 24-year-old truck camper was the ticket! They chose bold wallpaper, fun colors, and peel-and-stick tiles to take the inside from outdated to exciting.
They really love the cozy over-cab bed with an 8-inch memory foam mattress and even though they haven’t used the shower, having a bathroom in the camper makes their lives so much easier. While they’ve done a lot of constant travel in the past, they’ve recently settled down more, spending a month or more doing camp work in exchange for a free camping spot.

Kelsey and Shane are one awesome couple! On a whim, they decided to build a truck bed camper for their truck and go travel the country. Originally they wanted to hit all 50 states in a year and then go back to “normal life,” but now they’ve been on the road in their DIY rig for 2.5 years!
They built their camper with almost zero planning and very little money! All in all, they only spent $4k and used all kinds of reclaimed materials to make it home sweet home. While they don’t necessarily recommend their design or approach to others, they do think everyone should be living a life they love! What do you think?

Liz & Brandon love climbing and both had some experience with tiny living. They decided as a couple to find a tiny rig that could allow them more time to climb and better access to the best spots.
While they debated with 4-wheel-drive vans, those were expensive! So instead, they found a truck and built a remove-able cabin which was then lifted and strapped onto the truck bed frame. The interior has a cozy cabin vibe, and yes, they have a toilet inside.
All told, they spent around $12K on their truck home that comes in at just around 100 square feet.

Chris Rodiger is a senior at Colby College in Maine and an accomplished artist. As if his gorgeous “En Plein Air” paintings weren’t enough, he built himself a truck bed tiny house with minimal woodworking experience — and the result is stunning!
He calls it the “Beehive” and he spent the summer of 2021 living and working out of the truck, selling his paintings. His college was awesome and actually funded his tiny home creation as part of a class project — does it get better than that?
Now he’s back on campus (gets a little too chilly in Maine for his un-insulated tiny!), but he can always head out in his home and paint wherever calls him! We got to do a Q&A with him, which you can read after the video about Chris below.

You might think living on top of your truck would be extra cramped, but Chrissy proves it’s not true with her fantastic 2020 Capri camper that sits on top of her 2011 Chevy Silverado.
I don’t think I’ve seen a micro space this tiny that includes a 32″ indoor shower, but Chrissy’s does! She also has a little kitchenette with a microwave, fridge and a two-burner stove. While her bed doesn’t have the most headroom, it’s a queen size allowing her to really spread out!

This couple was just about ready to begin traveling when a family emergency derailed their plans for three years. When they were finally able to hit the road, they needed something they could build on the cheap. Using 100% reclaimed and recycled materials, Kelsey and Shane managed to create an amazing truck bed tiny house!
In total, they spent just under $4K on the build, and the result is a cabin/boho tiny home complete with a mini kitchen, room for guests, and their own comfy bed. They love bringing a smile to the faces of those who pass them during their travels.
They also discovered there are endless ways to make money — even if they’re a little unorthodox! Watch the Tiny Home Tours video to learn more.
