Here at Tiny House Talk, we love hearing what you have to say, and many of you tell us you don’t like loft bedrooms because of the ladders and/or staircases.

So I went through all the tiny houses on wheels we shared in 2016 and found some of the Best No-Loft THOWs to share with you. We like to say “no loft” but some of these tiny homes do have lofts, but they also have a bed on the first floor if you don’t want to deal with ladders or stairs. Best of all, you can use the loft space for storage and/or space for guests to sleep.

This is the “Azure” Lumbec Coach House Kit, a new 3-D design of a “small house” I’d love to live in.

The home is great for anyone who doesn’t like lofts and would like the 640 sq. ft. of living space. Because it’s a kit you get all the “pieces” and can still DIY the build, which is pretty cool! See everything it includes below.

This is the Stunning Gate Lodge by The Little Log House Company. (UPDATE 7/19/21): The company has gone out of business).

This 296 sq. ft. looks way bigger than it is, but at under 400 sq. ft. it’s certainly still tiny. It has two bedrooms upstairs and a gracious living/dining/kitchen area on the first floor. There’s even a second-floor balcony for gazing out at the snow! Pretty neat, right?

This is Tave’s tiny home on wheels that she built for less than $20k. It was actually nominated for the 2016 Tiny House of the Year and is one great little home. Tave made this place her own in the 9 months she spent building it, adding a crafting/sewing station as well as a home office.

I am a 38-year-old woman from Maine. My tiny house took 9 months and just under $20k to build.

This is The Portal by The Tiny House Company in Australia.

The modular-style home is brimming with green — potted plants everywhere bringing the outdoors in! This house was nominated for the 2016 Tiny House of the Year and I’m not surprised. My favorite feature is the drop-down bed that hides near the ceiling during the day and comes down for bed time — genius!

This is the 20 ft. Bitterroot Valley tiny house on wheels by Rocky Mountain Tiny Houses.

This off-grid marvel is simple and to the point with solar panels, a composting toilet, and a basic kitchen. It features a lot of great reclaimed materials and “leftover” materials at Rocky Mountain because the owner was on a thrifty budget. Take a look and then read more here.

This is Trinity, a tiny house by Alabama Tiny Homes.

She is 28 feet long, 13’4′ tall and 8’5″ wide and features the very popular white-on-dark wood color scheme we keep seeing more of (and keep loving!). But the best and most unique feature of this home is that the staircase is along the back wall of the house. How have we not seen this before? Great idea.
