This is the Rum Runner custom tiny teardrop trailer by The Trailer Doc.

We have teamed up with an Architect and Master Woodworker to start developing custom “tiniest homes” and tiny homes here in beautiful sunny Ocala, Fl.

This is the Rum Runner ser# 001 Prototype. We already have plans drawn for an 8.5w x 24 x 10h home with a loft and slide-outs. We have over a decade of building Micro-Homes in Bermuda where every square inch of space is maximized on the island, and you can see the quality craftsmanship in the Rum Runner Teardrop beginnings of many more to come along with the Custom Tiny Homes.

How cool is this! I love the round door. More details on the last page.

Although I love a good traditional tiny house, I’m also fascinated by round homes and curved roofs. Cecil just sent us a link to her DIY Instructional Book that will teach you how to build a 12 x 8 ft. Garden Pod with a rounded roof for less than $1,000.

It comes in both PDF E-Book ($19) and printed book form ($29).

The interior of the house is simple (this doesn’t go into detail, for example, about plumbing or electricity), but it makes a great shell to then outfit however you please. Or, use it for a little guest bedroom or backyard office.

Buy it here!

It’s always fun to see staged and picture-ready tiny homes with magazine-worthy professional photography, but sometimes you want a reality check. What do these houses look like lived-in by real people?

I want to introduce you to Ariel, the owner of her tiny home named Fy Nyth. She has an awesome YouTube channel with tons of videos about tiny living, including clothing storage, living in a cold climate, and her off-grid power system. Seriously, check it out!

But today I bring you her updated tiny house tour. Yes, it’s 16 minutes long, but she shows you all her homes nooks and crannies and it’s super informative if you’re interested in going tiny.

This is a Tiny Timber Chalet that was for sale in the United Kingdom back in March of 2017. This page is now archived.

It’s on skids so it can be transported by crane or truck, and it’s a lovely and simple structure with a spacious loft bedroom, full kitchen a wonderful living room space. I really love the roof design because I think it adds some much-needed headroom in the loft. Read about why and how the couple built it on the last page!
