Diana and her husband had a dilapidated cinder block garage in their Oakland, California backyard, but instead of seeing it as an eyesore, they saw it as an opportunity! They turned the space into a lovely guest house called the Rockridge Casita for both family & friends and to rent out on Airbnb. In just four years the tiny house has paid for itself, meaning anything else they get from now on is profit that goes to support the couple and their two kids.
Inside there’s a lovely studio-style space with a queen bed and kitchenette, as well as an ensuite bathroom complete with a large walk-in shower and flush toilet.
When their kids are older, they plan to use the guest house as a homework/hangout space for them, but who knows what the future will bring. Huge thanks to Allison at Tiny Home Tours for the great video tour of this spot you can watch below.
This is a 285 sq. ft. garden cottage with a sleeping loft in Seattle, WA.
Inside you’ll notice the metal lockers that are used as storage closets, an industrial style mini kitchen, a free standing wood fireplace, a sleeping loft, and a bathroom with a skylight and soaking tub.
When you go outside through the french doors you’ll find a lovely cafe table, some fruit trees, and an organic garden.
Please enjoy, learn more and re-share below. Thank you!
This 160 sq. ft. tiny cottage with a loft is absolutely beautiful, isn’t it? This tiny house is located on a farm south of Stockholm. It’s there for guests (there’s a larger home on the property too).
For me, there’s something even more special about tiny houses without wheels. It’s just so classic and simple. I love it. How about you? I like the covered front door and I also really like the colors they used (red, white, teal, and black). It’s just awesome, isn’t it?
When you go inside you’ll find open living space, a tiny kitchen, and an upstairs sleeping loft. That’s about it! There’s no bathroom inside because there’s a wonderful separate bathhouse with dual showers. That’s where your washer/dryer is located, also. What do you think of this setup? Would it work for you?
