This is the story of a son who designed and built a tiny house on wheels for his mom. It has about 300 sq. ft. of space.

What an awesome and inspiring story, right? His name is Matt Thorne. His mom has been living in the tiny house for well over 6 months now and she loves it! Now Matt is looking to build one for a customer. He’s also looking for the right person to partner with to build another one as a vacation rental unit.

Just because you’re having a baby doesn’t mean you’ve outgrown your tiny house!

Look at Robert and Samantha, of Shedsistence, who built the perfect bedside baby crib (now version two) in their loft.

Since having their baby Robert and Samantha have made changes to their loft, added a safety barrier, and have a crib downstairs so they can still live tiny even with their baby!

Micah, Jana, and their son Silas moved from Birmingham, Alabama to the San Francisco Bay Area for a work opportunity but they weren’t prepared to pay the high price tag to rent an apartment.

Instead, they contracted a tiny house building company, American Tiny House, to build their tiny house and the family has been vlogging about their experience on YouTube.

Brian and Stella Sullivan used to pay big rent to live in a two-bedroom apartment near Seattle and felt like finances were always tight and they weren’t spending quality time together as a family.

But when Brian got a job offer that would have required a two-hour commute, they ditched the conventional apartment life and created Big Bertha, a solar-powered bus conversion perfect for their family of five.

Freedom. Freedom with our money, our time and our location. [..] The most important thing in life is people, and spending the most time with our family and children was a huge priority. We were not about to sacrifice our family time to work multiple jobs, paying for a lifestyle we didn’t want. [..] Less space, less stuff, less time cleaning, less stress. More time to enjoy life and our children.

This is a video tour of their awesome tiny dwelling.

This is one family’s 200 sq. ft. travel trailer tiny house conversion story.

We’re James + Sarah, two passion-seeking nomads who are genuinely inspired by the world around us. We’re living full-time in a 2005 Jayco Jayflight with our baby daughter, Stella and dog, Lavender.

Our beloved self-made home named NOLA,  whom we renovated out of a FEMA trailer, was originally purposed for citizens of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. She found her way to us and we spent the summer of 2015 completely renovating her interior.
