You might remember when these brothers and their dad built a truck camper for just $1,000! Well, they’re back at it, but this time they’ve built an entire off-grid cabin by a creek in the woods.

The cabin has a whole solar set-up, a clever pump that draws water from the creek, and a spacious loft bedroom with a full-sized bed. They even added a porch swing to the covered deck to finish off the space. Are you inspired?

This is a gorgeous A-frame cabin that sits on a campground in France. While many A-frames feel very “cabin-y,” this one has a modern twist with triangular cut-outs and minimalist decor.

The most unique feature of this cabin is the netted balcony, where you can take a nap suspended above the porch by nothing but a (very sturdy) net. The interior has all the standard amenities — a couch, small kitchen, bathroom, and loft bedroom. What do you like most about it?

This century-old cottage in Renous, New Brunswick, Canada, has barn red siding reminiscent of one-room schoolhouses of old. The cupola on the top and covered porch on the side of the house add some extra charm.

You walk into an open-concept first floor with honey-tone wood floors, walls, and ceilings. A wood-burning stove, vintage furniture, and an L-shaped staircase lead to the loft bedroom. The room is built into the gable ceiling and feels like a cozy hideaway from the world! What do you think of this cottage?

This beautiful stone cottage in the Jizera Mountains of Czechia (Czech Republic) is a sweet, small home with a first-floor bedroom and a large loft bedroom/game area. The bottom half of the house is all stone, but the dramatic A-frame roof has beautiful traditional siding.

The main living area is partially below ground, with an L-shaped kitchen and a great sectional sofa. The exposed beams show the renovated space’s original character. Oh, and the mountain views don’t hurt!

While many “Hobbit Holes” on Airbnb feature tons of natural wood and dark stains, this little cottage in McKinney, Texas pairs the natural wood with bright white walls and a stunning pebbled bathroom that feels inviting and uplifting! The outdoor patio and picket fence really complete the cheerful Hobbiton vibe.

Inside you’ll find a custom hand-made round bed that stands as the grand feature of the interior. The headboard is also round, matching the front door. While there aren’t any kitchen appliances inside, there is a spacious bathroom complete with a copper basin sink and a barrel-inspired soaking tub, so you can feel like a dwarf on his way to Laketown (but less squashed).

Bill Bowick and David Bouffard are architects who found this lovely piece of waterfront property in Sedgewick, Maine, and decided it needed some lovely cabins! It was originally a saltwater farm, which they found fascinating. Working with builder Jon Ellsworth, of Carding Brook Farm, they were able to construct three boat-inspired cabins.

The Pine, pictured below, is a 420-square-foot cabin with a studio-style layout. It’s the smallest of the cabins and built from standard 2×4 construction, while the other two cabins are timber-framed. Despite its tiny size, it offers a comfortable stay, with a galley kitchen, queen-sized bed, and 3/4 bathroom. What do you think?
