With a full bathroom and kitchen this tiny vintage camper is perfect for a tiny house vacation in Oakland, CA. The caravan is a 1964 Kenskill camper that was originally used as a food truck to deliver cupcakes and other treats in Arizona.

The owners have rearranged the interior and completely renovated it. Now it’s a great spot to vacation especially if you have ever been curious about living tiny. This would be a great way to try it out.

Inside the camper caravan as you go in the front door to your right is the bed/couch, the kitchen is directly in front of you and to the left is a small dining area with the bathroom at the very end of the unit.

All the details in this camper are awesome. I love the cupcake curtains. If you are interested in vacationing in this vinatge caravan check it out on Airbnb.

The Cricket is a light weight pop-up trailer that is perfect for your next possible road adventure.

Not as simple and inexpensive as a teardrop camper (like the one I showed you yesterday)..

But it’s really flexible, modern, sleek and still relatively affordable for an RV/travel trailer.

The one I’m showing you today you can actually rent and try out for yourself if you’re ever in the Portland, Oregon area.

The best part is that you can get it dropped off within 50 miles of the location or you can make the trek there yourself.

I thought, “what an awesome way to try something like this out without having to fork out thousands of dollars.”

So I did what any blogger would do.. Share it with you here on Tiny House Talk!

Wanted to show you this interesting cargo trailer stealth camper.

The owner/builder of it built it as a bug out vehicle as well as a cheap DIY stealth camper.

He bought a 2012 12×6 cargo trailer for a little under $3000 and he started to convert it himself.

The under carriage and chassis was coated to prevent rust. He also sealed the roof to prevent leaks.

To insulate it he had to remove the plywood panels, install the insulation, and then put it all back together. Sounds like a pretty fun project, doesn’t it?

He finished it up by adding an electrical system and water. Everything is explained further in the video tour at the bottom of this post.

I had the opportunity to speak with Alex from right here at Tiny House Talk the other day. We had a great conversation and he asked a lot of great questions. Some of the things he asked got me thinking about where this all started and just exactly how we got to a point in our lives where building and living in a tiny house seemed like the right decision.

Matt and I have been together a long time – nearly 18 years. We met in college and we were 19 and 20 when we started dating. It’s funny because a lot of people want to know how the two of us can live and work together but we just don’t think about it like that. We like spending time with each other so it just comes naturally. We have always had very complimentary dreams. Those dreams didn’t always include a tiny house; especially since we didn’t even know what a tiny house was back then, but they always included a desire to live in a more extraordinary way.

When I think back on it, I realize that the tiny house idea was really not that far from some of our earlier yearnings for adventure. Maybe it is possible that the concept was always in our DNA but until we discovered the tiny house movement we just didn’t realize it.

The Kangoo is a small panel van / leisure activity vehicle made by Renault the French automaker. It’s been in production since 1997 and sold in places like Latin America, Europe, France, and Sweden.

In some models the rear seats and even windows can be removed. This feature became popular for customers who use wheelchairs.

This is an example of somebody who took this vehicle and turned it into a tiny motorhome / camper.

I’m pretty impressed with the conversion. Notice the storage racks up top and the attention to detail just about everywhere.

I’m sure this can be done with the newer Ford Transit Connect in the U.S. — it’s only a matter of time before someone does it if someone’s already not!

Unique teardrop tiny houses… yeah, that’s the best I could come up with to describe this mini cabin.

It’s meant for camping but it has a comfortable king size bunk bed, plenty of storage, and a beautiful interior. The window is positioned on the ceiling to bring in light and breeze.

They call it the E-den. It’s even got a covered front porch and has an easy BBQ set up (part of the canvas opens up for ventilation).

Everything is fully insulated and the windows are double glazed. This is awesome!

Inside it’s 11′ by 6’9″ and 6’9″ high

Outside 14′ by 8′ and 9′ high

Deck is 14′ by 7′

The designer/builders, Timber Tradesmen, are marketing these to property owners who can rent them out to campers.
