This article on Golden Eagle Cottages are in Trinidad, CA is a Guest Post by Minette Lemieux Dunn (Submit Yours Here)

I stayed at a “cottage” in Trinidad, CA that I think with a few minor modifications (a closet for clothes) would make a perfect little house.

Bed was on rollers and they had a sky light in the middle of the room so you could roll it out and look up at the stars.

Here are a few pictures I took.

The place was called Golden Eagle Cottages, you can find them on Trip Advisor but their pictures aren’t as detailed of the inside like mine.

I would guess the cottage to be 400 – 450 sq. ft., not including the front porch/deck.

Today I thought I’d show you one of the very first tiny houses on wheels. This cabin is made out of a tree that can grow up to 465 feet tall. And this one is built right onto a vehicle making it one of the first motorhomes we’ve ever seen.

I love being reminded of the fact that this idea of unique tiny homes is absolutely nothing new. And this wonderful creation from a century ago reminds us just that.

In this post I’m showing you a 430 sq. ft. modern cabin in the woods of Chile. And one of its most unique features is the built in nature boardwalk to get to and from it.

Wouldn’t it be awesome to design and build a cabin or tiny house in a setting like this?

In this post I’m showing you this fantastic tiny stone cottage in the country side in France.

If you live the busy life in a city there’s nothing like escaping for a little while to the country, park, trail, forest, nature, or oceanside to get some rest and relaxation.

And that’s exactly what this family uses their 17th century cottage in France for.

This is a luxury park model tiny cottage with a rooftop terrace.

As I’ve said time and time again if you like the idea of simple living, but you don’t like going as extreme as 200-square-feet or less…

Then you may want to consider a home like the one you’re seeing here. A park model. These are usually around 400-square-feet.

The Townsend is a park model cottage at Wildwood Resort on Lake Whatcom.

In another post.

Where I showed you the tiny cottages there.

And all of the amenities they have.

But if we’re talking about design..

And living simply and comfortably long-term.

Then you might just need a little bit more space (a Park Model)…

So I thought something like this might be what some of you looking for instead of tiny.
