This is Stefan Cook’s DIY 215 sq. ft. tiny house on wheels that he built using salvaged earthquake materials in New Zealand. When a roommate introduced Stefan to the idea of a tiny house, he almost immediately decided that he would do it someday.
From the outside, you’ll notice that it’s pretty large for a tiny house on wheels. It’s approximately 26 feet long (or about 31 feet long if you include the entire trailer) and about 8.2 feet wide and 14.7 feet high. This particular model was built in California by HMK Prefab Homes. From the outside, you’ll see it has a modern look with a built-in covered outdoor area that separates the living room from the rest of the home. Pretty cool, right? I like this feature. When you go inside, you’ll find that the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and dining are on one side of the home while the living area is on the other side of the house which is separated by the covered outdoor patio I just told you about. This is a micro-housing design called Live Between Buildings because it’s designed to be built in-between buildings in large cities.
The concept is created by Danish designers Mateusz Mastalski and Ole Robin Storjohann called New Vision of the Loft 2.
