Alexa is an artist who was looking for an art studio on wheels. When she found this excellent short bus on Facebook Marketplace, her dad joined her to check it out. After confirming that the engine looked good, she bought the bus for just over $3K.

She only spent $7,700 on her conversion, using tons of reclaimed materials and furniture to complete the build-out. Because she didn’t want any walls in the bus, she added a bathtub to get clean but kept an open floor plan. She makes a living off of her art and teaching art classes! Amazing.

Remember Shaye? The amazing tiny house designer in New Zealand? Today we’re showing you her mom and dad’s tiny house that they designed together to create a perfect retirement home! Sheila, Shaye’s mom, works for Shaye, and has helped design so many homes for the company, and it was her great joy to plan out her very own abode.

The house is made of a main tiny house on a trailer, plus an additional smaller tiny home on wheels that acts as a first-floor bedroom with a walk-in closet! She has two lofts, so her grandkids can sleep over, a lovely lounge, and a large front porch with a wood stove that can be closed up with roll-down plastic shades. You’re going to love this design!

The house has two lofts, one designed for a king-sized bed, and the other for a twin bed or low couch. There’s also a 4×8 walk-in closet at the end of the house with a separate exit, which could house a small bed of some kind, if you wanted a first-floor sleeping area.

Jay was no stranger to tiny house living when he found this Commando 61 police RV at auction. He was living in a vintage RV at the time, but this was something new and cool, and he just had to have it! And he did a fantastic job taking it from a work vehicle and turning it into his full-time residence.

A Murphy bed was an easy solution to a first-floor sleeping option, and it acts as his entertainment center during the day. He has two super comfy captain chairs as well as a built-in couch. The back of the RV has the original command center, which is now his eating space. What’s your favorite feature of this conversion?

Allie had always wanted to get into vanlife, but she put those plans on the back burner for a while after meeting Seth. Eventually, they got married, and the conversion came up again. Since Allie already worked a remote job, she was all set, but Seth made a career shift so he could also work on the road.

They decided to sell their home, and they purchased a gorgeous RV with one super unique feature — a flip-down side deck with a door that leads them into the house. Right now they use the back of the RV as an office space, but it can turn into a couple of beds if they ever need them.

What do you think of their rig?
