When Alice and Ricky approached Roughcut Tiny Homes, they had a specific vision: a home that could fully embrace its future beachside location while providing the comfort and functionality of a traditional residence. The result is a stunning park model tiny house that perfectly balances large-scale amenities with a compact, manageable footprint.

Park models offer a unique middle ground in the small living movement. Built on a larger chassis than typical THOWs, they allow for wider floor plans and full-sized features that make long-term living feel effortless. This particular build showcases how thoughtful window placement and material choices can turn a small space into a bright, airy sanctuary.

Manon spent 15 years moving from place to place, never staying anywhere for long. Eventually, that nomadic lifestyle led her to van life, where she lived full-time for two years. While she loved the freedom, colder winters pushed her to look for something a bit more comfortable—without giving up her independence.

Using her cabinet-making skills, Manon designed and built her own tiny house on wheels with bold rooflines and plenty of space for what matters most to her—books and her cats. Today, she lives on a rural plot in the French countryside alongside other tiny house dwellers, enjoying a slower, more grounded way of life she built with her own hands.

This is a new-to-us tiny house community of 33 homes about 45 minutes south of Albuquerque, New Mexico! The village is still expanding, with only 3 of the 17 acres available currently developed.

It offers truly affordable housing, with rent costs as low as $400/month with a 12-month lease. You can purchase a tiny house from the community or bring your own, and a handful of short-term rentals allow you to “try out” the village.

Brian was looking for a home base for his travel plans and found this second-hand tiny house at Village Farm Austin for $80,000. He was just about to set out in his campervan when the world shut down in 2020—and he was happy for the new community he found himself in!

This house has two porches, one open to the community and the other with privacy walls that he uses for storage. He has a grand living room space decorated with his guitars and mandolin. The galley kitchen has plenty of storage, and his first-floor bedroom doubles as a bike garage. What do you think?

You’ll want to bookmark this one for later. In this post, we’re sharing two in-depth videos from Drew of Drew Builds Stuff, documenting his DIY tiny house build from a bare trailer to a fully enclosed shell.

The build isn’t finished just yet—Drew still has the bathroom and kitchen to complete at the end of Part Two—but the videos are calm, detailed, and genuinely inspiring. He walks through each step of the process in a way that’s easy to follow and satisfying to watch.

In the first video, Drew completes the entire exterior build, including framing, roofing, window installation, and more. Part Two shifts inside, where he focuses on insulation, finishes, and interior progress (excluding the kitchen and bathroom). We’ll update this post as new parts are released, but for now, it’s a great look at what it really takes to build your own tiny house on wheels.

Update: We’ve added the remaining videos, including the bathroom, bedroom, and final finishing stages of the build.
