This is a story of Paul and Annett and their beautiful off-grid tiny home in Byron Bay, New South Wales. Below you’ll find video tours from Bryce of Living Big in a Tiny House to see for yourself how this couple is living completely off-grid and making the most out of life.

We’re so grateful for being able to live this lifestyle. Even after 2 years of living in our tiny, we sometimes still pinch ourselves.

One of the biggest questions we get here at Tiny House Talk is, “Where do I park it!?” Well, sister-brother duo Melissa and Jon Block of Tiny House Block transformed a run-down trailer park into California’s first legal tiny house village, where they not only welcome short and long term renters, but rent out land to existing tiny house owners. It’s located on the Pacific Crest Trail, in Mount Laguna, beautifully nestled in the trees.

Tiny House Block currently houses 17 tiny homes, each with its own unique theme (including the very popular 420 House, which is marijuana themed). If you’re looking to just try out the tiny life, you can stay for as little as one night and book via Airbnb. But if you’re interested in renting a tiny home long term, you can check out their price guide here and contact them for more details. You can even purchase one of the tiny homes from the village (prices vary).

Already have a tiny home? For $750 a month you get land, water, sewage and trash. Utilities typically come to another $50 per month.

Jenna at Tiny House Giant Journey did a great interview and video tour with Melissa and Jon, so be sure to check that out below! We’ll be following up with tours of each of the Tiny House Block homes, so make sure to sign up for our tiny house newsletter so you don’t miss any.

Tracy is an amazing single mom who is supporting her two children, Jack and Anna, while working flexible hours (many from her tiny house). They live in a “Tiny Town” village in Durango, Colorado, where they’ve been now for three years.

Because of their THOW she’s able to keep her kids first and work around their needs and schedule, while still affording a beautiful home for them to live and grow in. Oh, and they also have two cats! Enjoy the video tour from Tiny Home Tours/YouTube below.

John and Ina (@seawardshuttle on Instagram) bought this former nursing home shuttle bus and transformed it into a home (called the “Seaward Shuttle”) complete with surfboard and bike storage using many reclaimed materials and a lot of creativity.

They’re currently living off of their savings and enjoying traveling and surfing everywhere they go. They claim the bus feels spacious, and there’s even enough space for their beloved dog and a handful of houseplants. Make sure to watch the full video tour from Tiny Home Tours/YouTube below.

Who said van-life was only for youngsters? Virginia (@veevanvoom on Instagram) is an incredible woman from Canada who was inspired by tiny house television shows to retire early in her own van conversion. That’s right, van life retirement!

She worked for 38 years as a massage therapist and with the help of some friends and experts built out her very own custom van home. Virginia even carved out some space in her little van for her massage table! She already traveled through her home country of Canada and is currently traveling through the states, building community and exploring beautiful places as she goes. Thanks Tiny Home Tours/YouTube for the great video tour you can watch below!

This is Nick and Frankie, their school bus conversion tiny home, and their 3 beautiful dogs. One night they watched a documentary about a couple who were traveling around the United States, and they looked at each other, and asked, “can we do that?”

Fast forward to today, and they’re living full-time in their custom-built skoolie with a raised roof so it feels pretty spacious inside. It’s painted white, has custom windows, solar panels, and there’s even a wood-burning stove inside to make it feel like you’re in a cabin. Enjoy the photo and video tour below!

This is the story of Shelby and Rooster and how they turned a 2006 Heartland Bighorn RV (a 5th wheel travel trailer) into their very own affordable Bohemian-style Tiny Home on Wheels. But let me tell you, living in small spaces in nothing new for them because shorty after they married in 2015, they lived on a boat and have been living tiny ever since.

Rooster is in the military and Shelby is an online ESL teacher. So the tiny house on wheels lifestyle works great for them. See how they transformed their RV into a beautiful tiny home below. Have you ever considered renovating an RV instead of building or buying a tiny house on wheels?
